[Archived] Check Out A Non-League Game This Saturday................

Recommended Posts

With England on international duty this Saturday and Premier and Championship teams taking a break, local football fans have a great opportunity to check out the local non-league scene.

Matt Jansen's Chorley play at home against Alfreton Town. Another 1 or 2 hundred on the attendance figures really does make a big difference to a non-league team. The friendly atmosphere and quality of play of non-league football is great value for money.

As an additional incentive, Rovers season ticket holders will be admitted for only £7.00 on production of a current Rovers season ticket at the turnstile.

Usual admission prices for Chorley's league matches;

Adults £10.00, Concessions (over 60's students with ID) £7.00,
Youths (12 to 16 yrs) £5.00, Children (8 to 11 yrs) £2.00, Children 7 and under FREE

As an added bonus after the real football, England’s Euro 2016 qualifier against San Marino will be on in the social club with cask real ale and Fosters for sale at £2 a pint.

So please give non-league football a go this Saturday, a different football experience and well worth the money!

Keep your eyes open at Victory Park, you are sure to see one or two Rovers legends this afternoon!!

An extra one or two hundred? He'll if Darwen got that as their overall gate, they'd be delighted.

Not detracting from Chorley as I like all local non league sides to do well but, come on, get down to Darren instead.

Please do get down to Darwen if you are not in the Chorley area. I would love to see them climb back up the non-league ladder. I watched some great games there in the 60's and 70's.

Just checked their fixtures and they are away at Bootle today, so Chorley is your only option for exciting, live football this afternoon!!
