G Somerset Rover Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Got to admire you wanting to take the positives, GAV. The trouble is that the more fans that do so simply give Bowyer more excuses and more time. If anything you could be reading from the script that they use to brief Pune. The half-hearted shot at the end which ricocheted off Delf and bobbled towards the line summed up our first half. Completely agree. There are many who read the Bowyer script and gobble it up. We've been unfortunate, we're playing better than our position suggests etc etc. Where do these fans draw the line? Bottom by Christmas? Our board need to bloody act now, but we all know they won't.
Mercer Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Can only see Rovers being torn apart if they 'go for it'. Bowyer's game plan will be all about damage limitation now - wont want a 4 or 5 hammering. Two excellent savers from Lonergan and before you mention it Bowyer, he's simply doing his job efficiently unlike that defensive rabble of ours.
DavidMailsTightPerm Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Just seen rerun of goals - thought it before but definite now - get Spurr out of the team.
cesus Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Just seen the second goal again, Jesus it gets worse and worse every time! Guthrie may as well have been sat next to me on the settee as he just watched Steele bust his balls trying to play sweeper
roverandout Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Only reason rovers got back into it was because Fulham took their foot off the gas

If it wasn't Rovers I'd be rolling around in tears of laughter.Wonder if Gaz has grown some plums and will change it at HT?

"Board"? What board is that? The decisions are made by someone in India who has no idea.
tomphil Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 We are missing Loweys energy and his ability to sniff out a threat......
Baz Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Lonergan has made one good save, the others Id expect him to make easily. Steele has made as many, if not more. However, no matter who you are you cannot go away from home and concede two early goals and expect anything from the game.
Backroom DE. Posted September 13, 2015 Backroom Posted September 13, 2015 Just seen rerun of goals - thought it before but definite now - get Spurr out of the team. But then who is going to take our long throws? We did so poorly without them last season, after all.
Gamst Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 First time i've had the misfortune to see us play this season and we look like relegation fodder. Very brittle at the back, missing in midfield and wasteful up front. Its no coincidence that we keep 'giving it a right good go' and fail to win because we are defeatist and that mentality comes from the management. Hard luck stories and GB moaning about our financial predicament creates this negative attitude and we are now a team of losers. Frustratingly, we clearly have a decent squad that a better manager would have performing so much better and with more cutting edge. If the Venky's had any knowledge of football, they would see how obviously out of his depth GB is. Sadly, his excuses will be our downfall this season.

The half-hearted shot at the end which ricocheted off Delf and bobbled towards the line summed up our first half. The keeper has made 3 very good saves, I'm not taking positives I'm stating facts Stuart. Absolutely no positives to take, we're 2-0 down and have been completed out played! Everyone calling for Bowyer out needs to realise that we'll just get another 'Bowyer' if he's sacked, then maybe we'll become championship journeymen until Rhodes and Marshall go. Venkys are killing the club slowly, the fans need to revolt against those idiots not Bowyer, wake up! Completely agree. There are many who read the Bowyer script and gobble it up. Don't change because things may remain as bad. Mind numbing. Absolutely mind numbing.

You know this as well as the rest of us. The only way we stay up this season is by replacing the manager. Maybe we do get another Bowyer, but the change might give us enough of a bounce to survive this year, and at that point we'd just have to pray that Venky's left before the next season started.
A cup of beans Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Bowyer laughing and joking with linesman. It shouldn't, but it riles me. Koita on instead of the Fonz, at last.

Doaksie Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 This tripe is just another in a long run of kicks in the balls for us fans. But it could be worse, it could be 2 kicks in the balls. We're lucky really. Now sit back and spread your legs for more.
