Leonard Venkhater Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Please don't. It's like scratching my fingernails on the blackboard in front of the whole class! Actually, you are allowed to enjoy that victory after all. They wouldn't have sacked him, if we'd lost that and the Liverpool game. .Even after the Wigan game " he wasn't going anywhere!"
davulsukur Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Can't see anything other than a home win. 2-1. Cairney to score a cracker. Rhodes to bag for Rovers.
tomphil Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Going for 3-1 Rovers win Shades of Leeds away a few seasons ago, three up top and go for it. Infact if this happens I'm throwing a garden party Sunday afternoon, it's called Gazfest and you're all invited Bring your own ale though.......................
Mike Graham Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 I reckon we have a good chance of a point at Fulham. GB should get the team to feast on stuffed crust pizzas and donner kebabs tonight and then get them to park themselves in the goalmouth. Combine this with 90 minutes of gross flatulance and we should keep them out.
yoda's brother Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 looks like we will be bottom 3 tonite

AdamRochina Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Raya Henley Hanley Duffy Olson Koita Guthrie Akpan Conway Lawrence Rhodes Would be my line up , although it's bowyer so replace Guthrie and Akpan with Lowe and Williamson , replace Koita with Marshall and Olson for Spurr and that's more like it. 3-1 loss ..Cairney to bag one
neophox Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Steele Henley Hanley Duffy Olsson Conway Akpan Marshall Koita Rhodes Delfo Play 4-3-3 Steele Henley Hanley Duffy Olsson Conway Akpan Marshall Koita Rhodes Delfo Play 4-3-3 But Raya did well against Notlob so may resume in goal.
Proudtobeblue&white Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Of course we will be set up not to lose. I fear the worst.
joey_big_nose Posted September 12, 2015 Author Posted September 12, 2015 Steele Henley Hanley Duffy Olsson Conway Akpan Marshall Koita Rhodes Delfo Play 4-3-3 But Raya did well against Notlob so may resume in goal. The 433 idea on paper looks a bit daft but we've done it before, notably Leeds away two seasons ago when Bowyer was under pressure. Total gamble that paid off.Who knows, maybe Gaz will go for it again. If he does Akpan OS going to be working bloody hard in the middle!
AggyBlue Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 I'm going for a narrow win. With eyes wide shut this has to be the earliest I've ever set off for a league game. Reminds me of an old Faron Young hit.
matt83 Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Brendan Rodgers is coming under fire for his tactics and playing players out of positions. Souness said something like "you've got to play players in their correct position. Square pegs in round holes never works." Now on a totally unrelated matter I wonder where bowyer will play marshall today. I'm not ruling out goalkeeper.

Souness is right, you wouldn't put someone like say matteo as a left midfielder now would you

In the first half he played Ings left midfield and Benteke as lone striker. Today's game: bottom line is that we all want a win for Rovers today. Anything else can wait.
Waggy76 Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Our wonderful manager of Stability takes us to West London in the relegation places ..... Problem is , if we remain there he will still be drawing his wage !!!

Benteke's goal was outstanding, and I'm pleased for Martial, a goal on his debut and against Liverpool. Totally unrelated to rovers but thought I'd say it
TonyM Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Looking forward to a repeat of last season's victory ( which we scraped against 10 men) at Fulham today ....... Will it happen again ? Very, very unlikely, but will be there anyway ( helps that I can leave home about 10.30 to drive to Fulham and should be home by 3 !).
Mercer Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Rovers win today. Fulham have a few injuries. Bowyer post match 'This has been coming and will kick start the season for our young developing side. Spoke with the owners this week and they are delighted the way things are shaping up and I've asked them to hold the new contract talks for a week or two (signs new contract next week)'.

Combine this with 90 minutes of gross flatulance and we should keep them out. At least that is some sort of tactic and game plan. Players who probably should be on the field at KO. Guthrie, Apkan, Ollsen. Who will be 2 from Evans, Lowe, Williamson and Spurr.
chaddyrovers Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 ROVERS: Steele, Henley, Duffy, Hanley ©, Spurr, Conway, Guthrie, Evans, Marshall, Delfouneso, Rhodes. Subs: Raya, Kilgallon, Koita, Olsson, Lawrence, Williamson, Akpan,. 4-4-2 No Lowe in 18 match squad
G Somerset Rover Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 So Raya keeps his first clean sheet to then be promptly dropped. That'll boost his confidence, Gaz. If Akpan is fit he should be starting, while what he continues to see in Spurr other than a long throw I do not know. Lowe will be injured if he's not in the 18, Chaddy.
Backroom Tom Posted September 13, 2015 Backroom Posted September 13, 2015 Spurr for Olsson and no Akpan? Raya dropped after his first clean sheet?
