Mike Graham Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Just a short preview from me mainly based on the ground. Luckily (!) I already had work meetings booked in down in London for the Wednesday to Friday so this one works out well. I have also kindly been given two tickets by a QPR 1st team player. This is one of my favourite grounds. Old fashioned, lots of atmosphere when full and good decent support thanks to a well established community programme (a bit like Rovers used to do in the good old days). You feel as though you are very close to the pitch and players. Rovers will have the top tier only and should produce a decent atmosphere and noise even if only a few hundred attend. As for the game it is easy to be doom and gloom so I will largely pass on that except to say this will be a toughie for us. I am looking forward to seeing Hanley as I regard him as one of our most improved players this season and he will need to be on top form at Loftus Road. Given the size of the outfield I expect Spurr will need to start his throw ins from the back of the stands. I am also looking forward to seeing our new exciting attacking format. I would say a 2-0 win to Roves and another clean sheet from our Titans along with good support for GB.

Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted September 12, 2015 Moderation Lead Posted September 12, 2015 We always seem to have a good turnout whenever we play in London, so I'd expect this game to be no different. Although I'm rarely optimistic about us playing anyone these days, I feel this is one of those games we can get a result from, as QPR went down the same route of over-promoting a coach that we did and we could catch them out. They also seem to have sold a lot of their better players.
arbitro Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Rob Green has just been sent off for QPR an is out of Wednesday's game. God I'm really clutching at straws now. Forest just gone 2-1 up due to another goalkeeping gaffe.
chaddyrovers Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Qpr are a decent team but nothing special.
Mike Graham Posted September 12, 2015 Author Posted September 12, 2015 Qpr are a decent team but nothing special. Similar to us then Chaddy? They had a poor result today which shows we do have the chance to pick up points if GB gets the selection and tactics right and can motivate the players. This may be the start of our season?
Rover_Shaun Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Qpr are a decent team but nothing special. One nil to them if they are decent.
tomphil Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Following on from tomorrows beating I expect us to draw here then win at home to Charlton saving the managers bacon and setting a pattern for the season. QPR 0 Rovers 0 with around 400 roverites in attendance.
broadsword Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Following on from tomorrows beating It's sad that we're already assuming the worst for tomorrow. Can't really argue against that, but you never know, we may get lucky? But I do have both Fulham and QPR games down as losses. We could well be a win away from safety by then.
roverandout Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Qpr are a decent team but nothing special. What does that make us then? Bucking abysmal?
Lhrover Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 got my ticket for this gonna be on the coach from ewood at 12.Its not impossible for us to get a result but i think QPR are slight favorites even with rob green out. Id be happy with a draw away from home. Im out in london after the game so i will either be celebrating or drowning my sorrows, just hope Guinness isn't 4.90 a pint like normal down there.

My only suggestion is find out where the nearest Sam Smiths is. No guiness but the beer is so much cheaper than anywhere else. Nice pubs too.
USABlue Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Rob Green has just been sent off for QPR an is out of Wednesday's game. God I'm really clutching at straws now. Forest just gone 2-1 up due to another goalkeeping gaffe. Green being out would work against us wouldn't it, goofy buggar that Green is.
tomphil Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Green being out would work against us wouldn't it, goofy buggar that Green is. Correct. He's had a few stinkers v Rovers down the years. A touch of David James about this fella for me, great one game then dire the next.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Come Wednesday evening and I fully expect our points tally to be 3 from 21. God help us.
Backroom DE. Posted September 13, 2015 Backroom Posted September 13, 2015 Charlie Austin will have a field day with our defenders. 3-0 QPR. Bowyer to take the positives.
G Somerset Rover Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Hopefully Lowey will be back. His sense of sniffing out danger is unparalleled.
tomphil Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Might as well just have a go in this game and take it to them. No point fannying about trying to slow the game down and take the sting out of it as we've seen today that approach lost us the match in the first 20.
Backroom DE. Posted September 13, 2015 Backroom Posted September 13, 2015 Yeah, but Bowyer doesn't learn from his mistakes. We all know this.
tomphil Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Oh yeah I fully expect the same old approach. If they have a real off day and maybe take us a bit lightly we've a chance of a draw but it's more about what they do than what we do sadly.
chaddyrovers Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Koita has to started in place of Delfouneso
Backroom DE. Posted September 13, 2015 Backroom Posted September 13, 2015 Koita in place Delfy and Olsson in for the abysmal Spurr. Evans actually put in a decent shift today so I'd be tempted to keep him in the team, as too many changes will work against us. We'll still lose but it might only be by one or two instead of three or four.
Mike Graham Posted September 13, 2015 Author Posted September 13, 2015 Do we make the "Bowyer Out" posters for QPR away or wait until Charlton at home on Saturday?
LewisF Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Do we make the "Bowyer Out" posters for QPR away or wait until Charlton at home on Saturday? We whip them out asap. Burnley at home they must come out in their masses if he hasn't already gone
Messi422 Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 If Spurr still play ahead of Olsson, I'm done with Bowyer.
Jock Posted September 13, 2015 Posted September 13, 2015 Is Olsson closing in on an appearance bonus?
