Kean left just before the Charlton game.

Is history about to repeat itself ?

One match doesn't change anything Mercer I know that but based on tonight they were excellent and tried their @#/? off. There have been plenty of occasions to steam into him and long term I am one but to be fair to the guy he deserves a break tonight.

If we revert to type on Saturday then maybe but we were pretty good tonight.

Good to hear and thanks for the match report.

Still 4 from 21...

You're right we did. It was a very good performance and with better finishing would have been a win. The players are certainly playing for the manager, there is no doubt about that.

Your right played well but you omit very lucky to get away without conceding a penalty

And we still can't win. Goodness knows what it'll be like when they aren't playing for him.

I wasnt being funny or sarcastic, because it was a good away point, and a better performance. Still, we havent won a game yet, and if we dont win a game soon, im convinced its going to cause a heap of problems with the fans.

Luck over the course evens itself out.. We can't rely or relate or bemoan points on the board are what matter well they do at any other club but seemingly not in Venky's world

............and the defending. Let's not forget we've scored two yet again but not won. Fingers pointing at missed chances in the last few but fact remains that's only half the job.

What's more important results or performances? Let's say in the next 5 games Rovers play really well and dominate their opponent but pick up say 1 win and a couple of draws in that span, would people still be happy to keep him in the job?

I'd like to know how many bad results we have to get to for those that still have faith in him to consider he has to go. Do we have to be bottom at Christmas? Does we need to be adrift at the bottom?

Responded to this same point in another thread. I think it's baloney. Why does the players working hard on the pitch indicate they are playing for the manager? Nothing to suggest they think that Bowyer is the right nor wrong man to take us forward. They could be playing for themselves, their families, their agents, visiting scouts, their teammates, their pet bloody chihuahua.

I remember the same argument was used with Kean.

Certainly does (see point below)

First game of the season we were robbed and the last two, should have an extra 6points on the board but that being said he can't set up a team to defend and out best cb is on the bench

Watch the highlights posted on QPR game thread. 1:25 you'll see Olsson make a terrific goal-line block with his hand at 1-1. Had this gone in, the game could have been totally different. Surprised Ramsey hasn't mentioned it, but then again he isn't Bowyer.

Exactly. Big Sam was the expert at grinding out points, unfortunately GB is not.
