Wouldn't be surprised to see Willo start in the middle. Surely must be time for his match bonus in the keep em happy lottery :o

He has to persist with the same side - unless (based on the various tests they do at Brockhall) somebodies fitness levels are dropping - it is the only way we will build up a defensive understanding.

Couldn't agree more but aside from Spurr being out you just know there'll be another change somewhere.

Henley dropped and a sickbed-bound Lowe will be wheeled in at right back

You can bet your bottom dollar that Delfouneso will be back in in place of Koita I'd imagine even though it was obvious after watching Koita come on against Wolves in the first game that he is a massive improvement on the former Blackpool man.

I don't really thing our performances in the last 2 games have any bearing on how we will get on against Charlton.

If we play to the level we are capable of then at home we should win.

However the circumstances on Saturday will be the polar opposite to the last 2 games. At Fulham we reacted at half time after a woeful first half. We improved significantly albeit against a poor Fulham side that had the comfort of a 2-0 lead to protect. Then we go to QPR where there wasn't really any pressure or expectation on us to do well and get at them and create plenty.

The difference on Saturday will be that pressure will be on Rovers from the word go. Everybody will demand and expect a win, and anything less would be a disaster. By contrast Charlton can turn up with little/no pressure on their shoulders after a decent start to the season, are resolute in defence, and are more than capable of getting at least a point. Their away results so far this season include winning at Forest and drawing at Derby, so they are no pushovers.

There will be one hell of a difference between trying to break down a well organised Charlton at home and creating loads of chances away at Fulham and QPR.

Great preview, Mike.

Never liked Charlton, may have something to do with the horrific horrors of 1999.

Heart hopes we'll spank them, head says : unless we score early, it could be an edgy, tight affair that go either way.

Oh yes. I was there if you mean Kidd and Ashley Ward's non penalty etc. We had a chat with LET's Peter White at the service station on the way back!

I remember that game. It was on TV and I was in a bar in Pattaya with a bunch of mates, the only one vaguely interested in what was going on. It should have been a penalty. I went on a bender.............I hope it stops soon

That's the game.

I went a few years later, when Duff ripped them apart, but it still didn't leave me.

Peter White is sadly missed. Pale imitations at the LET for years on end.

Fully expecting a win but if we don't it's difficult to see where one is coming from.

The improved performances in the last two games have yielded one miserly point which will be useless unless it's backed up with a home win.

To much inner turmoil, I've been disappointed in my self recently at how angry and hopeless I've felt watching the rovers recently.

I felt similarly under Kean, but the hatred helped me deal with that.

I don't hate Bowyer, he just frustrates me. Frustration is harder to deal with.

I've made a pact with myself decided to simply focus on willing us to beat Charlton, if only to get some distraction from all the b.ullshit draining me.

Pity about Brown. It is about time he was given an extended chance to prove himself. He could be an excellent supplier for Rhodes.

Got to be on the wind up here?

Wow, last post on today's game is by me 12 hours ago...

Bowyer has really sapped the interest out of everyone hasn't he?!

Precisely how I feel. Be nice to come away from a resounding 3-0 victory for a change.
