Amazes me that in two games we have played players in a formation that hasn't been used in any of the warm up games.

Wouldn't surprise me at all if Woy makes no changes at half time. Great managers react and make changes when things go wrong.

They are just showing the chances we might have taken but ultimately we haven't. That's a personnel issue. He may be a great tactician but this lack of savvy is why Woy has never been a great.

Yep. Have been saying it for years. The bloke's a coward. He cost us WC2014 and he's doing it again now. If we lose this match he should be sacked before the Slovakia game. He's made so many bizarre decisions, from persisting with Sterling to giving Kane corner/free kick duties, that I fear he's gone senile.

England started to run out of ideas after 10 minutes and the tempo dropped continually. Possession but hardly any threat.

I remember similar comments to those regarding Owen in France 98 who Hoddle refused to start until he was forced to. All he is is. Quick. However when that ball drops loose in the box (which it has a couple of times) he's the most likely to be the first to react to it.

However I would replace Kane / sterling with Sturridge and Vardy personally.

And then miss. Sterling has been horrific in front of goal for years, no point getting him into these positions as 75% of the time he wastes the chance. In tournament football you just can't risk having somebody with such a lack of composure on the pitch.
