Great first half performance from England, Cylne has be excellent, only a matter of time.

Hendersons distribution has been awful, must improve.

Decent performance but we need Rooney on for Henderson, who is terrible, rose on for Bertrand, he's an accident waiting to happen, Wilshire has been quite good, clyne looks impressive going forward but he's nowhere near as dynamic as walker, walker would have had their fullback for breakfast. does Hodgson not understand we need to win the group? Making all these changes is a big mistake. Also Sturridge needs to be more involved, he's a class act

Let's hope Unlucky Hart has just got away with today's rick.

He's got at least one in him every game.

EDIT: in fairness Smalling did him no favours.

Wales 3 0 Russia

England have to win outright now.


One has to admire Wales taking the game right to Russia,

2 goals for Bale.

1 apiece for Ramsey, Taylor and Bale.


Russia had a bunch of adjustments too; and have flopped obviously.

He's got at least one in him every game.

EDIT: in fairness Smalling did him no favours.

I could be wrong but I'm sure you could even hear Hart shout "away" and again when he had hold of the ball he basically repeated it at Smalling.

England making heavy weather of teams that Wales have put to the sword.

I know Gav will disagree but I think Woy has got it wrong so far this tournament. With his original squad selection, with his downselection, with his starting teams - chopping and changing each game, his subs have only been effective when he threw caution to the wind and got a very lucky late winner against the strongest team in the group.

Wales have inferior players to England (on paper) but Coleman is turning them into a better team, centred around their best player. England have flattered to deceive believing that possession is everything.

Got to hope that our PL fitness is the difference and we get a late one again.

The announcers have said twice in the last several minutes, Slovakia is playing for the draw....

Chancy strategy but we'll see. Maybe there will be a goal.

I fear a sucker punch in this one...

Snap. Glenn Hoddle talking sense on commentary just now, re samey strikers. I made the same point when we picked the squad. We've been so wasteful in front of goal.

The other teams in the group have made our draw against Russia look a much worse result than it felt at the time....

Same story, England totally dominant but cant score. The thinking before the tournament was that we would struggle defensively but finishing seems more of a worry. Should have scored at least 2 tonight from great chances.

Think there will be a few angry Slovakian supporters after the game waiting for their bus to be removed from the pitch to get back to the hotel
