Same story, England totally dominant but cant score. The thinking before the tournament was that we would struggle defensively but finishing seems more of a worry. Should have scored at least 2 tonight from great chances.

We're not excellent defensively either. We crumbled under minimal pressure from Russia, let in a poor goal vs Wales and Smalling almost gave away a right clanger tonight.

Let's be honest that was the worst group in euro history and we couldn't score vs 2 of the weakest teams and edged past Wales who've limited quality too.

In with a chance? You must be joking.

If the squad has a rhythm and pace running through it so replacements slip into a well oiled system, the manager can faff about with half a dozen changes. But England don't have the luxury.

An entirely predictable pedestrian performance. Meanwhile Wales and Bale march on...

Tough game. Not much you can do when the opposition sit back like that. Hardy not as effective when its as tight as that.

Thought Sturridge was our more likely player to unpick the lock, but wasn't to be.

It would be harsh to criticise England. Supporters were immense

Gareth Bale scored as many goals as England in this poor group. Everything was too narrow for England and I can't recall one occasion when we got in behind them.

We got in behind them at least 4 times. Vardys early chance, Clyne on the overlap twice, Diers sublime ball for Sturridge over the top.

Vardy and Sturridge should have scored.
