I feel kind of bad for Switzerland, they became the better team in that game.

I think the shootouts sends everyone including the players to be so much on needles and pins, I doubt, generally speaking, a team would rub it in but they say Germany and Argentina had problems in '06 over that.

I didn't pick NI but they might be a choice for an upset, they've played well.

Hungary are doing well too, though they play Belgium tomorrow, the Magyars might do something.

Republic of Ireland fans only getting 4500 tickets for the France game out of 59,000 capacity.

They had 25,000 at the last game!

Thats a disgrace, not sure how they're getting away with that.

2 mince teams with one superstar on the pitch

A career in football punditry awaits you. Very insightful.

From a pool of 46 (if I recall correctly) professional players playing in the 4 leagues in England, and top 2 leagues in Scotland, I don't think we (Northern Ireland) can be too upset at getting to the last 16. The only negative is that a fantastic servant, Gareth McAuley appears to have signed out of International football in the worst way possible. A great achievement from such a small, and restricted nation. Plenty to be proud of, especially for a 'mince' (?) team....

What a load of rubbish the Wales Northern Ireland game was.

Actually it was a tactical masterpiece by Michael O'Neill which almost worked. Football can be cruel.

Great cross by Bale though and Hennessy's passing ability was sublime. He could have been a CB
