AllRoverAsia Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 Whilst pace is undoubtedly an asset there are more important aspects to the game which Italy have in abundance. For me they have a system which is extremely difficult to play against and the back three look impenetrable. They press when they have to and can kick when they have to. I thought they would win it after the first game and this performance has reinforced that opinion. Unlike the old days they are quite pleasing on the eye. I quite enjoyed that game......shame Roy put us in the wrong half. Edit: not sure whether to stop boozing now or just carry on. Still an hour to go. Decisions Decisions Decisions beggar it I'm of for a six-pack

G Somerset Rover Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 There's no doubt at all that the German's would have preferred to have played Spain. I can see Italy vs. Germany going right to the wire.
Salgado Is Still A Hero Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 Great performance from the Italians. Germany vs Italy on Saturday night should be a cracker.
Gav Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 Italy have just done a right number on Spain there. Hardworking industrious side, much like us back in 95 but not as good! They didn't give Spain a moments rest, love the managers reactions also, reminded me of the Mexico manager in the world cup.
BrisRover Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 The boys made me very proud tonight. The team spirit that Conte has instilled is fantastic. Onwards and upwards!
RibbleValleyRover Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 Yeah Germany vs Italy a must watch. Italy have a ridiculously good record against Germany in tournaments. Germany will have trouble breaking down that rock solid Italian defence.
Baz Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 Well done to Italia, worth it according to the commentary (i only got home with 30 minutes left). Hilarious to see the irony of the Spanish team and fans getting upset at some of the Italian diving. Referee did pretty well from what I saw. Prefer for England to play the Italians than the Spanish, although I think we'll win tonight, I can't see us beating French in their backyard.
Salgado Is Still A Hero Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 Yeah Germany vs Italy a must watch. Italy have a ridiculously good record against Germany in tournaments. Germany will have trouble breaking down that rock solid Italian defence. Played 8, won 8 I just read.
A cup of beans Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 Conte used all his nouce. Nothing left to chance. Spain always struggle against 3 5 2 (Holland, Chile, in the World Cup). Italy have surpassed my expectations. Germany will probably be a tougher test than today.
roverandout Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 I stand by what I said, good performance but clearly Spain are on the wane
Husky Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 Is there a Sterling drinking game? I've got the flat Stella out!
Amo Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 Hoddle saying that England players aren't used to dealing with long throws. @#/? off you Spud.
AdamRochina Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 England hahahahaha what a joke, love Iceland love the underdogs haha
G Somerset Rover Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 Joe Hart is a flipping joke. As is this defence.
