arbitro Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 Hodgson resigns along with Lewington and Neville. Not a word about the game.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted June 27, 2016 Moderation Lead Posted June 27, 2016 Good. We just need a manager with some mettle who won't bow to egos and pick the best team/squad and not be influenced by egos et al.
Husky Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 Said it some years ago that one day England will be a virtual minnow and here we are. Not unlucky, largely outplayed by Iceland.
Baz Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 Woy must go with one of the worst tournament records of any England manager. But as long as he looks back on his time with pride.....
G Somerset Rover Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 Produce results and won the under 21's tournememt this summer.Taylor and Pearce did well with the under 21's. Completely different roles.
A cup of beans Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 Would like to have thought, Woy would've fronted up on TV rather than his bland statement. Not a lot to be said, but show some pride. Pardew or Southgate... Christ.
Proudtobeblue&white Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 Big Sam's the man Yep, wouldn't have set up a team to lose to Iceland.
chaddyrovers Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 Big Sam's the man Dunn just said that on twitter
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted June 27, 2016 Moderation Lead Posted June 27, 2016 Produce results and won the under 21's tournememt this summer. We need experience at he top level, the under 21s isn't enough. Stuart Pearce for example.
Backroom DE. Posted June 27, 2016 Backroom Posted June 27, 2016 Roy should have resigned after WC2014, but clung on like a parasite and will now be remembered for one of the most shameful results in English football history. Well earned, Roy.
Salgado Is Still A Hero Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 Thought Dier had a very good tournament and definitely looks the part.
Leonard Venkhater Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 One big problem though is how the FA pick his successor. It is done by a flaming committee of blazers who really haven't got a clue. Burnley Bob might even be on it. We are run by an archaic organisation who rely on rigor mortis affected men who are elected into their positions. Owen Coyle would be my choice...
Stuart Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 How the hell is Brendan Rodgers in the odd list for next manager. If Southgate gets it it's more of the same institutional mismanagement. Where is the next Terry Venables, or even Bobby Robson. As much as I dislike the bloke surely Harry Redknapp must be an option. Personally I'd give it to Allardyce but he'd just be rounded on from day one. But until something changes in the FA, it almost doesn't matter. What a @#/? week.
Husky Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 Owen Coyle would be my choice... Thank @#/? for King Koyle!
G Somerset Rover Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 If you're looking left field then Howe or Dyche. If you want a safe pair of hands then Big Sam.
chaddyrovers Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 Taylor and Pearce did well with the under 21's. Completely different roles. Very true. But no point bringing in young coaches and grooming them for the senior job then not give it them. Southgate with Clement and Holland would be very decent. Dont want another overpriced foriegn manager. Very surprised Gary Neville has quit aswell
arbitro Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 Owen Coyle would be my choice... Seconded Leonard. He would impress the blazers with his waffle but would a sweaty sock wear an England kit in the technical area?
chaddyrovers Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 Maybe Hoddle or Redknapp would be on the shortlist?
roverandout Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 Got to be foreign, screw English coaches, Southgate would be worse than McLaren, van gaal for me
RibbleValleyRover Posted June 27, 2016 Posted June 27, 2016 Wouldn't surprise me if they go foreign again for the next manager.
