oldjamfan1 Posted July 3, 2016 Posted July 3, 2016 I'm glad those two blonde ladies they keep showing had something to cheer about (briefly - now 5-1 lol)

Stuart Posted July 3, 2016 Posted July 3, 2016 This game only serves to highlight just how bad England were.
Husky Posted July 3, 2016 Posted July 3, 2016 If France had Hart-less in goal Iceland would definitely have had 2 or 3 goals at least.
Audax Posted July 3, 2016 Posted July 3, 2016 Iceland, despite being drubbed, still go full force which is amazing. Of course, if most teams went behind 4-0 at halftime, it would be a travesty but Iceland come back and score 1, from their fans, you'd think they were in it still. But I've seen similar from other countries' fans.

They won the second half 2-1 so fair play to them.Even with a drubbing, they left the competition with at more pride and respect than our lot.
bazza Posted July 4, 2016 Posted July 4, 2016 Isn't Chris Smalling in hospital, having got food poisoning, collapsed and banged his head? Also Dier was feeling nauseaous before the game with Iceland and had to be subbed at half time. The display by England was rather peculiar considering they way they had been playing for the past 18 months. I'm wondering if the whole team had some sort of sicky bug when they played Iceland.

Iceland gave them that rotten pickled shark they eat over there.

Chris Smalling got ill on his hols in Bali.
spudungeyee Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 Serious head scare for Smalling though very big gash on his head needed a fair few stitches.
bazza Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 Chris Smalling got ill on his hols in Bali. Oh! I still think England were unusually lethargic.
Audax Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 It sure seems like Wales is a team of destiny to me. I'm not saying they will win the whole thing, one game at a time but I feel positive about this match for them. Brian Glanville column: Read Full Article At Link Below: Roy Hodgson is an old friend of mine and I still believe he should have been given the England role way back in 1994, after he had so resourcefully taken his Swiss team humbling Italy all the way to the World Cup finals. But that was a very long time ago and sadly I must concede that he made a monumental hash of this European championship. philipl Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 Good luck to Wales tonight keeping the Union Jack flying high. The suspensions probably kill them though.
Stuart Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 Two yellow card resulting in a match ban has been the undoing of this competition. Aside from a couple, it has resulted in very tentative games after the first two matches. Now we'll likely see the back of one of the better teams because of it. All designed to promote the technically better teams/players.
JAL Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 Good luck to the Welsh boys tonight! Like the look of Joe Allan in the middle he'd certainly do for me in a blue and white jersey just hope they can overcome the loss of Ramsey and show our shower of English donkeys up.
ABBEY Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 stuff wales after they celebrated England crashing out....do any other home nations want England to win?
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted July 6, 2016 Moderation Lead Posted July 6, 2016 stuff wales after they celebrated England crashing out....do any other home nations want England to win? Exactly mate. Otherwise I'd have been happy to cheer them on, balls to 'em. Anyhow, if roles were reversed, would they be supporting us?
JAL Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 Don't be bitter lads get your boots and go and show our shower up.
G Somerset Rover Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 Well my Nan is as Welsh as they come so I'll be jumping on the bandwagon tonight. I think they'll need to win it in the 90 because the Portugeuese are a fit bunch with a lot of big game experience throughout the side. Whatever happens they've had a great tournament and shown our lot up big time.
oldjamfan1 Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 I would normally root for a British (or Irish) side against continental opposition, and I cannot abide Ronaldo. But despite all of that I want Wales to lose tonight, based on their antics at the final whistle in the Iceland v England game. That probably reflects quite badly on me but living in Scotland makes you a bit fed up of the 'Anyone But England' attitude and its time we treated the other home countries with the contempt they hold us in.
Backroom DE. Posted July 6, 2016 Backroom Posted July 6, 2016 I'll be more concerned when Wales aren't celebrating us going out.
oldjamfan1 Posted July 6, 2016 Posted July 6, 2016 I'll be more concerned when Wales aren't celebrating us going out. So why shouldn't we do likewise?
