roverandout Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Its got the feeling of a one goal game said the commentator with less than 10 minutes left, god I miss the days of motson and Brian moore
A cup of beans Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Myself and friends have had a Barry Davies impression tournament tonight. Used to like him refusing to use shootout. "It will decided by a Penalty competition"
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted July 10, 2016 Moderation Lead Posted July 10, 2016 Belting goal, that. They've definitely gone the closest...
BlueMonday Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Poor final, average tournament, Ronaldo's a c**t #venkysout
ABBEY Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Clattenburg .. Ha ,ballsed up fa cup final and now proves he's colour blind .. Doesn't know difference between a white hand and a black hand
Backroom Tom Posted July 10, 2016 Backroom Posted July 10, 2016 Stunning goal to lift a terrible game
Amo Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Danny Murphy is UNBELIEVABLY bad. Can't even pronounce the player's names right.
Backroom Tom Posted July 10, 2016 Backroom Posted July 10, 2016 Danny Murphy is UNBELIEVABLY bad. Can't even pronounce the player's names right. What was he on about saying it's ok that Clattenberg messed up
A cup of beans Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Ronaldo ' s thinking : lift the cup, whip my shirt off and pose.
Stuart Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Well done Portugal. A better team when Ronaldo went off. Not the best team in the tournament but they earned that win.
Baz Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Well done to Portugal, beautiful country, lovely people and despite the blow of losing their best player early, defended well and got better and more threatening on the break.
Stuart Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Looks like somebody had to put a plate over the trophy. Covering up the French name?
joey_big_nose Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Portugal have been one of the worst teams at the tournament but totally deserved that win. Great defensive work and a stunning goal. France reminded me of England last two times we payed competively against Portugal
Stuart Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Pepe was absolutely immense in that final. Wonder if he fancies a PL payday?
ABBEY Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Ronaldo ' s thinking : lift the cup, whip my shirt off and pose. Ass bandit
A cup of beans Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Pepe was absolutely immense in that final. Wonder if he fancies a PL payday? Been brilliant all Tournament. Portugal have defensively been almost impossible to score against. 5 conceded, 3 in one game (2 huge deflections).
Stuart Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 BBC pundits have just given Robson-Kanu goal of the tournament. It wouldn't even have been a contender if it hadn't been a Wales goal. Only Shearer went for the far superior Shaquiri overhead kick.
Amo Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Pepe was absolutely immense in that final. Wonder if he fancies a PL payday? Maybe, if OC can get him to wait a year.
Backroom DE. Posted July 10, 2016 Backroom Posted July 10, 2016 BBC pundits have just given Robson-Kanu goal of the tournament. It wouldn't even have been a contender if it hadn't been a Wales goal. Only Shearer went for the far superior Shaquiri overhead kick. Shaqiri's goal was quite obviously goal of the tournament. As you say, a lot of bias there. I had a feeling France would choke when the big moment came, and they did. Portugal have been good defensively this tournament but France should have been able to beat them, especially once Ronaldo went off. Can't say I feel much sympathy for them, it seemed like Portugal had been written off before the match had even begun. Think Deschamps made a mistake bringing Payet off. He's not the quickest but has that little bit of magic that can unlock a resolute defence. You knew as soon as France hit the post at the end of normal time that it wasn't going to be their night. Glad it didn't go to penalties, anyway.
mustard Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Portugal are the one side who have disappointed me at every stage of the tournament. Had a relatively easy route to the final, haven't excelled in any game and have barely strung a few passes together all tournament. Quite disappointing to see such a lacklustre team win. Defensively they've been good but horrible to watch.
