chaddyrovers Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 You need to figure out where your loyalties lie. With Rovers or with your pal Bowyer? did you even attend today's game? or any Home games? or just slagged off fans who have a different opinion to yours well ParsonBlue travelled to today's game and so did 1,371 Rovers fans turned up today.

Thats a fantastic following for a side struggling in the championship, I salute everyone of you, great effort
Amo Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 My loyalty is with the club I've supported and followed for 50 odd years. I might take you more seriously if you ever went to a game but I suppose keyboard warriors are too busy to actually watch the club they pretend to support! Really? Because you give the impression that you're a Bowyer apologist first, Rovers fan second. And believe me, I'm not the only one who's picked up on it.
Gav Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 I've never claimed to be a super-fan and don't posture that way. Do you not see the irony in your post asking Parson where his loyalties lie? I try my best to avoid slagging people off for not going as everyones circumstances are different, one fan is not better than another, but when you question Parson, a fan who never misses a game, you make it bloody difficult Topman.

Parsonblue Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Really? Because you give the impression that you're a Bowyer apologist first, Rovers fan second. And believe me, I'm not the only one who's picked up on it. Does anyone care what you believe? Try getting to games and you might be taken seriously by supporters who actually support the club. Now back to your internet warrior hobby - off you go!

Now back to your internet warrior hobby - off you go! Struck a nerve have I, Parson? They do say the truth hurts. I paid good money last season to watch the dross Bowyer served up. Won't be making that mistake again in a hurry.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted October 17, 2015 Moderation Lead Posted October 17, 2015 I don't know where this notion that Parson is mates with Bowyer has come from? But, I'm sure he said he'd met him at reserve games a couple of times?) Unless it's a turn of phrase of course ?!)

I use 'pal' in the sarcastic sense, since he has his back like any good friend should.
Backroom DE. Posted October 17, 2015 Backroom Posted October 17, 2015 Thats a fantastic following for a side struggling in the championship, I salute everyone of you, great effort It really is. The travelling fans deserve a lot better than they've endured in recent times.
joey_big_nose Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Yeah, I never paid money to watch that shower. Joke's on me, huh? I've never claimed to be a super-fan and don't posture that way. To be honest you are coming across as a super fan, and are posturing exactly that way, albeit with the (unfortunate) corollary of not actually attending.

Won't be making that mistake again in a hurry. Of course you won't. Why should you? You are clearly not a Rovers supporter and it would take you away from your trolling on the internet.

Won't be making that mistake again in a hurry. I don't know where PB's allegiances lie - but I have always found most of his match comments to be fair. Don't get me wrong I think Bowyer should be replaced (though prey that the drastic improvement over the 4 matches prior to today continues) - but listening on the radio it did sound like we had periods in the match and were a little unlucky (even their manager said they rode their luck at times). Saying something positive about any performance - doesn't mean you support Bowyer, the Venky's etc - it is just an assessment of the game. Do you disagree with PB's assessment - because it matched up quite well to the summarising on Radio Lancs
tomphil Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Absolute rubbish today. Nonsense about the sending of changing the game. We started like a passionless bunch seemingly believing this was an easy win. The sending if was just plain bad, we had a chance to clear. We could not string a couple of passes together first or second half. Lumping long balls to Rhodes or blasting it into touch. Marshal was shocking and clearly lacking in confidence, he simply refused to take his man on. For about 10 mins we had a little momentum, I mean a little, and then the super subs walked on-----3-0. Thanks rovers you sent my 6 year old home in tears. Absolute crap. Bowyer was preaching caution and don't underestimate MK before the game so it would be surprising if they went out thinking it was an easy win. More likely it was the revert to type we've been expecting by starting games on the back foot again and seeing what the opposition are going to do rather than getting on the front foot from the first min. I didn't see it but every one I've spoken to said we were asleep again from the off. Although the sending off obviously played a big part in it and it's daft to say otherwise we simply cannot keep starting games away from home in such slack dozy fashion. Another away day at a promoted team who are no great shakes, another big turn out and another shocking start and poor result. The predictability of stability
Amo Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Of course you won't. Why should you? You are clearly not a Rovers supporter and it would take you away from your trolling on the internet. As trolls go, you beat me hands down. You can't expect to blindly defend Bowyer (once again) and not get a reaction out of people. Do you disagree with PB's assessment - because it matched up quite well to the summarising on Radio Lancs It sounds like we were still in the game right up until Bowyer decided to make his changes. I didn't see Parson being critical of those substitutions. Oh that's right, he defended them! What a shocker!
G Somerset Rover Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Duffy looked like he had an absolute stinker from the highlights.
Mercer Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 And you were saying we should be winning by 3 or 4 goals before the game. Another prediction wrong yet again. Maybe you should stop making these daft predictions like you do Like I said before the sending off change the game. Don't be so pathetic. We should be seeing teams like MKD's off comfortably. The sending off may have changed the game but according to my colleague at the match, Henley got wrong side off his man and who coaches / selects Henley ? I think we are a shambles and the buck should stop with Bowyer. Stop being an apologist for this clown of a manager.
Pedro Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Annoying how we have a man sent off for being the last man but not too long ago we got a penalty for Rhodes being shoved in the back 3 yards from goal and not a card to be seen. Regardless, nothing changes, the man at the helm shouldn't be in charge. Sounds like he made subs based on events in another dimension, what is it - two wins in twelve? Awesome return. Deserves a new contract for being nice.
Roverthechimp Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Depressing result after the recent upswing. On paper the first subs should increase our attacking play (akpan & evans off for delfounso & williamson is in theory a positive change) but it sounds like they disrupted our play instead. Something the manager should take responsibilty for.

Something the manager should take responsibilty for.The trouble is Apkan and Evans are good players. Williamson and Delfounso are awful. That was the problem with the changes. You took Evans and Apkan out and the opposition could effectively stroll past the pedestrian Williamson in the centre and Delfouneso who was right midfield. Bowyer has been blind to Williamson's failings for years. He just can't see it. Poor
USABlue Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 I think lose the next two and it will be goodbye GB ..Not a chance.
AllRoverAsia Posted October 18, 2015 Author Posted October 18, 2015 I saw this on a MK forum ''The recent leak from the FA acknowledging that we (MK) and one other team have consistently had poor decisions by not awarding us penalties probably had a bearing on this ref''. http://www.thezonemk.co.uk/phpbb3/viewtopic.php?f=107&t=11668&sid=71274ebb9c261528ed6c6e614d310bab The post is quite complimentary to Rovers although MK feel they also had a good penalty shout turned down. I'm looking forward to the comments of more Rovers fans who were at the game.

The sending off may have changed the game but according to my colleague at the match, Henley got wrong side off his man and who coaches / selects Henley ? Like I have said before the championship is so unpredictable to predict results. Of course the sending off CHANGED the game. Look at BBC Radio Lancs commentator Allan Smart's comments about the sending off. From the commentary it sounds like he missed a clear penalty when Rhodes got closelined in the box. I didnt know you could use WWE moves in Football. Haha
Lancs Rover Posted October 18, 2015 Posted October 18, 2015 Not sure where to post this but for those with an interest in grassroots football, here's a link to an FA survey on the game at the local level, closing date 30 October: http://www.rovers.co.uk/news/article/the-fa-grassroots-football-survey-2733097.aspx

I didnt know you could use WWE moves in Football. Haha We all know that decisions go both for and against you in football. You take it on the chin and move on. The constant bellyaching of Bowyer is tiresome. Can't recall him ever owning up to any decision that has gone for us to change the course of a match - all we get is how magnificent the lads were. Facts don't lie. We have won an abysmal 2 games out of 12 competitive games this season. A win ratio of 16.67% is shocking and should make the manager's position untenable. Have got tickets for the Derby game but honestly don't feel I can be bothered now.
