Giant Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 Simeone has taken Atletico to two Champions League finals, a fantastic achievement. If they can win it, it will dwarf Leicester winning the Prem. by a country mile. Hope they do so.
G Somerset Rover Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 It will be some feat Giant, but 'dwarf Leicester winning the prem by a country mile'. Not a chance! Fancy there are some bitter fans on here regarding the Foxes achievement. It's absolutely remarkable and will very likely not be repeated in our lifetimes.
johnradfordsubbuteo Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 atletico Madrid remind me of burnley in their uncanny ability to do enough every time. the only difference is I quite like them.
Giant Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 I'm not bitter, Gavlar, just think Atletico getting to two finals and winning one would be an achievement that outstrips Leicester's by a mile. The CL is the pinnacle of European football and for a non mega club to do it is remarkable.
roverandout Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 Done an incredible job there simeone, can't believe that Chelsea didn't go for him over Conte, or why man utd haven't approached him
frosty Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 Spanish football is King again! It's been king for a long time now, all Spanish CL and Europa League finals are very possible this season.
Salgado Is Still A Hero Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 Simeone has taken Atletico to two Champions League finals, a fantastic achievement. If they can win it, it will dwarf Leicester winning the Prem. by a country mile. Hope they do so. Atletico are far from a no-mark club. Leicester's achievement would even outdo them doing the double, every day of the week. Leicester winning the Prem is like Dinamo Zagreb winning the CL.
Gav Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Has Vinjay gone to Madrid? Great atmosphere. City look like Sheffield United fans, Darwen End circa 1988'ish
ABBEY Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Good god Andy gray n Richard keys looking old .. Andy Gray morphed into Freddie Starr
speeeeeeedie Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 An all Spanish final it is. City were never at the races today. De Bruyne couldn't pass to a team mate, and Aguero was stood alone all game. Hopefully Liverpool pull something out tomorrow. I don't want the Europa final being the same.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted May 4, 2016 Moderation Lead Posted May 4, 2016 Aguero isolated, De Bruyne and Yaya seldom involved, Sterling made a difference when he came on IMO. Very disappointing from them.
Husky Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 I have to say the Madrid City games were both utterly appalling - Champions League excitement restored to it's best.
Proudtobeblue&white Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Very poor game which City did very little to contribute. Better team won on the night - Yaya nowhere near fit, can't expect Aguaro to take on Real by himself, might as well hold the final in Barca!
RevidgeBlue Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 I have to say the Madrid City games were both utterly appalling - Champions League excitement restored to it's best. Exactly. God forbid two Clubs like Leicester City and Blackburn Rovers should produce "spectacles" like those 2 games. We'd never hear the last of it.
Ribble Rover Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Toure was a disgrace. Is he fit? I mean, he looks like he just ambles and seems heavy. I bet the lardy is on 250k per week as well. Cheeky git
Rover_Shaun Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Can someone remind me why City bothered to enter this competition?
Amo Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 @#/? you Liverpool! @#/? You'll Never Walk Alone... @#/? you and your @#/? clownshoes manager! @#/? you too, Friedel... you @#/? Liverpool fanboy... You were a laughing stock there until Rovers rescued your career!
speeeeeeedie Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 oh good not stop liverpoo worship now ..sigh cant wait Would you rather have an English team or Spanish team in the final? Genuine question.
Amo Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 Would you rather have an English team or Spanish team in the final? Genuine question. Sounds a little xenophobic to me.
