perthblue02 Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 I also notice that Rovers havent announced a Caretaker manager so it must be close to appoint a manager Or Damien Johnson is going to be busy at training
Ricky Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Lambert would do nicely for me. Moyes even better but Lambert would be a great choice too.
LDRover Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 I wonder if the 'fans under their stones' comment was a contributory factor to the decision
Dunnfc Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Tim Sherwood with Souness as director of football!
Gav Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Well well well, it's the first considered footballing decision they've made since they' arrived at the club. Sacked Bowyer and all his staff in international week, that's a proper footballing decision, well done Venkys, it's only taken 5yrs and £120m! What next? Appointing experience? Surely not....
Amo Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 hahahaha sorry only comment chaddy....not like you to back whatever the establishment do. Chaddy did seem to change his tune once the rumours were stirring about Jokanovic. I guarantee had Venky's publicly backed Bowyer he would've flip-flopped again.
RevidgeBlue Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Hope someone is lined up otherwise there's barely anyone left to take training and/or stand in the dugout next game.
LDRover Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Yet again Abbey you jump in before reading MY COMMENTS from Saturday from here. I said on Saturday It was time for a change and I was bored at the game on Saturday. read the forum before slagging me off You also said he'd get your full backing if he remained as manager. You can't have it both ways.
rhodie Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Or Damien Johnson is going to be busy at training Wouldn`t be too surprised with this lot, it`ll be Kean all over again.
mustard Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 I'm quietly optimistic for the future. If we appoint a proven manager, it will give a boost to the club and the fans. If we appoint a dud, at least the fans can unite against the Venky's, like back in the days of the protests.
den Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 You also said he'd get your full backing if he remained as manager. You can't have it both ways. Every which way but loose.
AdamRochina Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 I can't stand lambert personally, I hope we go for Pearson or sherwood
rovers11 Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Finally, a bit of ambition from the owners. Bowyer has done a very good job but he doesn't have the nous to take us any further. Moyes would be the dream, Lambert would be excellent too.
Mike Graham Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Just heard that numb nuts has been sacked. About time......good riddance.
perthblue02 Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 I wonder if the 'fans under their stones' comment was a contributory factor to the decision Or somebody reminded Desai it was coming up to the fifth anniversary of their reign of terror , and she suddenly remembered she owns a football club.
ABBEY Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Chaddy did seem to change his tune once the rumours were stirring about Jokanovic. I guarantee had Venky's publicly backed Bowyer he would've flip-flopped again. my point exactly
LDRover Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Every which way but loose. "About turn Clyde"
mustard Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Come on guys. Be nice to chaddy. He might have been behind Bowyer, but after hearing rumours of us linked to the likes of Jokanovic, you can't blame him for wanting that. He's only human after all. Just think, a good appointment that everyone's happy with and the messageboard will be united. Soon Abbey and Chaddy will be hand-in-hand on the terraces singing kumbaya...
Backroom DE. Posted November 10, 2015 Backroom Posted November 10, 2015 Such a shame it took this long to remove Bowyer. In fact, even more of a shame he was appointed in the first place. Did a fantastic job as caretaker, but a proper manager may have already taken the team back up. I suppose we just have to hope it isn't already too late.
Baz Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Just need to remove Shaw now... John Williams and Moyes/Lambert for me.
Mike Graham Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 GB took us backwards. Should have been potted yonks ago. Just need to remove Shaw now... John Williams and Moyes/Lambert for me. Exactly young Barry.I wonder what Pittard and his mates have to say? Probably crying in his pint.
patrickvalery Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 I won't try to argue the club was doing well enough for this to be considered a bad decision. But I liked Bowyer and I thank him wholeheartedly for bringing back a little decency to the club. It's a game of fine margins and really good managers make calls which swing those fine margins in their favour. Unfortunately the hard luck stories Bowyer used were all too common and there's only so much of it you can accept. I wish him every success in the future and I sincerely hope he gets the reception he deserves if and when he ever manages at Ewood again. Good luck Gary and thank you for showing what I consider to be genuine care for the club.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 "The owners felt that following a disappointing start to the season, they have to act in order to give the club the best chance of success in the remainder of the campaign," said a club statement"
