Gary Bowyer and his staff have left the club.

Who do you want (realistically) to replace him?

Who do you think it will be?

My answer to the first question is there are a lot of good options Pearson, Lambert and Jokanovic all have pedigree.

I expect it to be a cheaper option like Chris Powell or Ian Holloway though.

I'm at the point now where almost any person who is recognised as a manager will do. Moyes, Lambert, Sherwood, Jokanovic, Powell, Hasselbaink, Rowett, Pearson...

I'd obviously prefer someone with a lot of experience and who has past success like Moyes, Lambert or Pearson, but right now anybody with any form of pedigree would be a step up from what we've had over the past five years.

Didn't I read somewhere that Johnson was working with Everton for a little while, doing his badges? Would be another Moyes connection after Degsy.

I'll be honest that may be complete horse-poo, but it's in my head for some reason.

Moyes, Jokanovic, Pearson, Lambert, Sherwood.

A boy can dream.

My shortlist would be very similar. Moyes, Jokanovic, Pearson, Rowett with arguably Rowett being the pick but would be pleased with any of them.

Wouldn't be too unhappy with Lambert. Wouldn't risk Sherwood as Im not sure if he has any managerial nous or simply talks a good game.

So early days it looks like Lambert.

Brilliant at Norwich - terrible at Villa.

Who hasn't been terrible at Villa over the past few years?

Lambert would be a fantastic choice considering our last four managers have been Steve Kean, Henning Berg, Michael Appleton and Gary Bowyer.

I'm over the moon to be reading this. Hope it brings back some of those fans who have stayed away.

I'm ok with Lambert or Moyes but pray whoever it is he brings know how. We've alot of catching up to do!

Venkys need to make a massive statement and appoint David Moyes, I imagine half season ticket sales would rocket if they did.
Come on Derek, make it happen.

.....and a sell out at deed dale.
