Perhaps it was Balaji who finally threw his toys out of the pram and insisted on something happening. If he has renewed his interest and has guarantees from his siblings (and especially Mrs D.) not to interfer, then the optismist in me tells me we might be onto something here. Whether they decide to sell up should we get back to the PL, I don't know or care, but happy to see some sensible decisions finally being made. If he has rekindled his interest, I hope Balaji starts showing up to some games as well - he looks like a character that the fans eventually would warm up to too. :D

Ive voted Moyes on the basis i believe he his the best available manager ... i would be happy with Lambert, as a mid-table championship club currently in an embargo with owners of "questionable" ability to run foootball club with only 1 real star player i think realistically we have done very well

Adding on to what I posted yesterday, my understanding is that Lambert will be appointed either today or tomorrow. Haven't heard anything on the Irvine situation but I'm guessing he will be the number two aswell (Sorry if I sound like a typical Journo!!).

I like the sound of Lambert, I have to say. From what Norwich fans I've spoke to say about him, he could bring some excitment and enthusiasm back to the club. I wouldn't dwell on his time at Villa too much, given their situation its a job thats hard for anyone, especially after Mcleish has been there.

I look forward to a promising future for us, COYB!!!

Lets say Nixon is right...

Lambert with Irvine managing, out of the embargo in January?

For once, the future looks good?

Very good, almost too good.... this worries me.

It'd be nice if Venkys could pay off the debt, too...

Fellow Scot, so can definitely see this being the case. As long as Nixon doesn't come back on here spouting constant guff then I won't mind.

I don't know, I used to like the 11 o clockers. I think it was more the rabid excitement from everyone than the information itself. Made the MB unique.

No guarantees but it looks a lot brighter. It's not just Lambert and co it's the statement as well.

Finally a manager. Finally a management team. Finally some ambition. Finally a decision worth applauding. It's taken about five years so let's hope it happens.

I liked the 11 o'clockers too, although mostly for the chaos that ensued after 11pm.

For whoever comes in if they hit the ground running there are some winnable games coming up before the end of the year. These are:

Preston (a), Sheff Wed (h), Bristol City (a), Rotherham (h), Forest (h), Reading (a), Boro (h) and Bolton (a).

Some new manager bounce could see potentially 18 points from these games I think.

Sky reporting club still in talks and nothing will be announced today?

Don't trust anything Sky says. These are the same people who announced Hoilett would sign a new contract after Steve Kean txted them saying so.

Perhaps Lambert has insisted the talks last for another 24 hours because Shaw is such excellent company?

Seriously, if Sky did say that it makes no sense. Talks last as long as they last. I doubt there's some kind of formal timescale.

They're slow off the mark mate, I wouldn't worry too much.

Who the hell voted for Mcleish?

Scroll up :rover:
