[Archived] Increase In Attendances

After the seemingly good news us long suffering fans have had this week, added to the fact it seems Venky's are finally running the club properly, my question to all you fellow fans is this:

Do you think we'll have an increase in our attendances at Ewood, will anti-Venky supporters return and get behind Lambert and co?

How many half season tickets do you think we'll shift?

Yes, they'll certainly rise. I suspect many who said they'd never return while Venkys are in charge might change their minds once they see an improvement in the running of the club. I completely understand them on both counts.

And that's IF we've appointed Lambert.

Success on the pitch, or at least looking like we heading in the right direction, will bring the fans back.

We had 30k on in 70's, took around 30k to Wembley in 80's had numerous 30k in 90's and 2000's and we'll get them again if the clubs heading in the right direction.

Yes Gav but the ' big club that never was' would have had double the amount of fans in the 70's and 80's if only they weren't busy reapplying election to the Football League.

I'll be back but I suspect at least 50% of the fans we've lost will never set foot in Ewood again. People ( or their partners ) soon find other things to do on a Saturday afternoon that are cheaper and less stressful.

I think the Liverpool game last season proves the fans will come back, some won't of course, but I feel plenty will, I'm excited about the prospect, 200 mile round trips to Ewood are certainly on the cards for us.

A team with ambition and winning games will bring back a lot of people.

Under Souness in this league we averaged 20k+, see no reason why we couldn't get 18k on regularly if we start to win a few games and get in the playoff mix.

No doubt they will rise. Only have to look how many Preston tickets have been sold in past week

To be fair we'd sold 3.5k before GB was potted and it would have been close to selling out anyway.

If we can start actually getting 14 thousand plus home fans in the ground on match days now it will be a good start. If the ST holders who have been picking and choosing over the last few years start coming to most games again it'll help. Everything starts with small steps in the right direction then if form picks up and a few signings it should go up a bit more.

i doubt fans would give a toss who the MD was if we were top of the league. Still, it would be nice if John Williams came back, with a few more of the old board. Make it happen Rao's whilst you're on a roll.

Hopefully the stay-aways will return. it would be great to see Ewood rocking again on a regular basis.
