JBiz Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 No he's not . To error prone and has a sponge forehead Would you drop him today?
Neal Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 No he's not . To error prone and has a sponge forehead Come on Abs, it's way too early to be writting off a player with time to develop... I think we should all have learned that from Hanley... Last season I'd have driven him anywhere, this season he's the first on the team sheet. There's a reason bigger clubs are apparently interested in Duffy, lad can turn into a quality centre half.
JBiz Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Agree Neal, has all the raw materials, strength, pace, height and a good touch. IMO he's looked more steady and both of them together look more of a partnership this season. He's made a few errors and still makes strange decisions but that will stop with experience. For the amount of times he finds himself infront of goal with a header, any consistency or improvement on that front will make him a Samba like danger from set plays.

Duffy is another player benefitting from the pressure the opposition are being put under. Their back fours aren't given time to play the ball out on the floor and are having to use the long ball far more often than they used to do, - which is meat and drink to Duffy.
Neal Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Aye and we got over 30 million for Bentley and RSC . I'm not sure I follow your point Abs.
JAL Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 As usual, you're on your own there Jal.If your playing a tight game Neal we need the big lad to be capable of popping up the other to score at a set piece not being a left at the back making clumsy mistakes.Alertness and awareness is what Duffy needs to improve on amongst a widerangeof other skill levels. Improved fitness levels plus learn from his mistakes will hopefully make him a better player for the future this season though he's been in the struggling championship category. Roll on the summer
JAL Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Would you drop him today? No as he's progressing on his development plus he's the best option to partner the far better defender Grant Hanley.

T J Hooker Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 i think Lambert totoly correct here, its ridicoulus having the home fans spread thinly all over the show, the fans have become divided enough in recent years its about time we all sat together at least. personally i think our stadium should have a drastic structural make over, reducing the potential capacity to 25k
Backroom Mike E Posted March 12, 2016 Backroom Posted March 12, 2016 Before their goal, the BBE was rocking in patches! Deffo give the DE to away fans!
Stuart Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Before their goal, the BBE was rocking in patches! Deffo give the DE to away fans! They should be out of the way in the upper tier though.
Backroom Tom Posted March 12, 2016 Backroom Posted March 12, 2016 Bit of a Bowyer interview today including right good go! Massively behind Lambert though and really think he's our best chance of any success
tomphil Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Felt the crowd were just getting into it when they pinched that first goal out of the blue. That goal music is disgraceful though, had enough of it now and something must be done the ball hadn't even hit the back of the net before it blerted out. Then it goes on and on and drowns out the bloody cheers. Whoevers idea that is is a prat. Time for a petition or something !
Waggy76 Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Bit of a Bowyer interview today including right good go! Massively behind Lambert though and really think he's our best chance of any success You are probably right Tom but the owners worry me ....
JAL Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Before their goal, the BBE was rocking in patches! Deffo give the DE to away fans! No way!!! fill both ends with a winning team instead of journeymen and loanees. Scousers out !!
Waggy76 Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Big Shane is running him close. Big Shane needs replacing asap , as for Dann he has surprised me at Palace cos when he was here , he was awful ....Suspect Dann never really wanted to come here in the first place !
chaddyrovers Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 No way!!! fill both ends with a winning team instead of journeymen and loanees. Scousers out !! Watt and Graham will be signing here permanent come the summer And I wouldn't say Steele, Marshall, Duffy or Hanley are journeyman.
tomphil Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 I thought Watt worked quite hard today and did a lot of chasing down, harrying etc. The fitness will come if he wants it enough.
JAL Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Watt and Graham will be signing here permanent come the summer And I wouldn't say Steele, Marshall, Duffy or Hanley are journeyman. What about Gomez has he been told that he isn't thus the drop in performance levels. Scousers out !
Backroom Tom Posted March 12, 2016 Backroom Posted March 12, 2016 What scousers are we talking about now and why? Guessing you mean Myers but I'm not sure why and possibly Duffy?
chaddyrovers Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 What about Gomez has he been told that he isn't thus the drop in performance levels. Scousers out ! Lambert has already stated that depending on our summer transfer budget scousers out? really? what the hell are you on about again Jal.
JAL Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Lambert has already stated that depending on our summer transfer budget scousers out? really? what the hell are you on about again Jal. You do a great job of deflecting chaddy !
