Well the doors open for PL to hand his notice in and move to Celtic now.

PL was the last roll of the dice IMO.

God help us all with his replacement, because no one is going to Touch Rovers with the behaviour of Venkys

There will be a real clammer for Dhalia to be given the boot now

If Celtic agree to hire Lambert, Irvine and Kelly and pay us compensation I'll drive them up there and pay for the petrol myself. Don't think the car would be up to their standards mind.

And we'll just end up with another second rate yes man.

" I don't have a problem with the owners, they've been great for this club "

Lambert can see what's wrong with this club both on and off the pitch. He's also the first member of Rovers staff to publicly say it and confirm what we all knew regarding communication, At the moment I would rather have someone who can see the faults with the football club and is trying to force improvement than some chancer who is happy to keep quiet because he is bloody lucky to be managing at this level.

Selling Rhodes was only ever a good move if it freed lambert funds up to renovate the squad. Whether he was promised this or not we don't know. You would have to suspect that he was promised some cash due to the fact he took the job and his comments recently.

Would Irvine and Kelly not stay and take over as manager/assistant manager?

I'm not sure but they couldn't do much worse.

Be careful what you wish for as we won't get a manager again, we'll end up promoting from within again.

I think we both know it could be worse Rev!

Paul Lambert and his staff are the best thing thats happened to the club in a very long time, I'm stunned you can't see that.

Results and performances maybe poor, but I could list plenty of reasons why, and non of them are the managers fault.

Highly unlikely

Surely you need to have plan before sacking a manager.

From Kean Until the PL management team that hasn't been the case remember we're talking Venky's here

Don't entirely disagree up to a point ,but recent performances surely question, either Lamberts ability, or the political charade that is going on between manager and owners. Not convinced 100% with Lambert not convinced 100000000000% with Venky's

All this talk of venkys not wanting to spend because they've already spent '£100 million on this' - I find it disgusting, they put the club in this position. When will they learn and I suppose when will we learn as fans (not all of us granted) that every 'fake high' is just that, fake. The club goes nowhere until they go.

Sorry Yoda

My point is wasnt there a plan by Venkys/Pasha sacked Bowyer and appointed Lambert?

Yes they clearly believed that we could get promoted, and do it by spending £ZERO and bringing in a few loanees. It's very clear what they thought and it's embarrassing.

Paul Lambert is a good manager, but what he has to work with is utter rubbish.

You already have lunatic owners to deal with, no CEO, and a squad that is more a Sunday league team than a professional one.

Anybody who doesn't want Lambert to stay, should look at the last few managers we had, and that should remind them of what potentially could happen again. Venkys need to leave, and we really need to find an owner/s who are going to accept the current situation and work with it.

We really need to find a level headed owner, somebody who really understands the game, and who would support somebody like Lambert with the right attitude to move the club forward again.

It's truly disgusting that Venkys have still not shown any sort of passion for the club, any sort of love, or determination to be at Ewood more often.

To hell with their money now, and how much they have invested, we need more than money to get things right. It's become a joke now, and all they do is throw money at things and hope that will make things better. We as fans should now know better, because money as much as we need it, has become more of a problem for us than a positive

I saw the Old Firm game and once again I am left mightily impressed by a Warburton team. I fear if Lambert does go to Celtic they could be playing second fiddle to Rangers for a while.
