Gav Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 This isn't about David Dunn, nothing against Dunny whatsoever, or Alan Irvine, this is about venkys taking the p1ss for the last time if it happens.

AllRoverAsia Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Passing on a rumour i have heard. Lambert to go before end of season to be replaced by Irvine and Dunny permanently. Touchpaper lit.....................retreat to a safe distance Oh and F-CK OFF VENKYS
VinjayV4 Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Imagine 10 games in to next season, if we have a bad start and are languishing near the bottom. Some fans will turn on Dunn and that just can't be a good thing. If he took a job that he's not remotely qualified to do (don't give a toss about his coaching qualifications has anyone ever failed them?) then he would deserve people turning on him. Last thing I'll care about is whether his feelings are hurt while Rovers slide to rock bottom. Remember this is a guy egotistical enough to tout himself as a future Rovers manager in a "farewell" letter so he would certainly take it. Laughably delusional. It was embarrassing enough having a power struggle with Agnew/Shaw v Singh. Having a guy who predictably failed at Oldham as manager would top the entire list of embarrassments under Venkys. Never know at least Johnson might turn out to be a decent manager if he's given the job. After all everyone has to start somewhere don't they? Can't imagine he would stick around seeing his incompetent assistant promoted ahead of him. Jason Wilcox should be talked up as a candidate this time around. Of course there wouldn't be any guarantees but he has an affinity for the club and should be asked on that basis at least. Shearer, Sherwood, etc were mentioned before but who's the one currently in a position?
tomphil Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 I must have said half a dozen times that I reckoned sooner or later Irvine would be in the dug out. Just struck me as a strange no. 2 appointment right from the off and he's just the type you'd appoint to take over if you were cost cutting. Wouldn't be surprised if PL is only on some short term or rolling type deal and that's another reason as to why he's really stamping his feet. I really wouldn't trust one thing that comes out of the club in public in regards to contracts and transfer fees etc. Last throw of the dice getting PL in and a few loan players and for once they may have implemented a plan B though it's not one that will go down well nor will it work out well if it does happen. One things for sure though, WE'LL HAVE BEEN CONNED AGAIN!!!
VinjayV4 Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 I fully expect PL to be our manager next season Paul Levesque? Time to play the game!
Backroom Tom Posted April 19, 2016 Backroom Posted April 19, 2016 I fully expect PL to be our manager next season Hard one to call - if we were doing better I think him walking away was a shoe in, if he walks as is his reputation is none the better for being here
rigger Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Paul Levesque? Time to play the game! Is this off topic?
Speedie Dived Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 This isn't about David Dunn, nothing against Dunny whatsoever, or Alan Irvine, this is about venkys taking the p1ss for the last time if it happens. There is a great quote from the film "Looking for Eric". United fan saying you can get divorced, move houses but you can never leave your club. An FC united fan pipes up "My club left me". It's past the stage of the owners having to go a long time ago, my only decision now is will my continued attendance keep them here longer? If so, it will be time to not go.
AllRoverAsia Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 IMHO - If Lambert leaves let's say to go to Celtic he would take Irvine and probably Kelly with him. They would all see it as a step up.
Backroom DE. Posted April 19, 2016 Author Backroom Posted April 19, 2016 More likely to be Lennon or Moyes for Celtic, you'd think.
roverandout Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 I think I will stay calm until we know one way or the other, my blood pressure is already reaching boiling point with these @#/?
Mike Graham Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Has he gone yet? Is he on the team bus tonight. How many of the players will other getting off the bus tonight? How many players will forget to get back on after the "game"? We need answers fast.
chaddyrovers Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Passing on a rumour i have heard. Lambert to go before end of season to be replaced by Irvine and Dunny permanently. no surprise to hear this rumour tbh. I have been saying it for a few weeks that I thought Irvine would be interested in taking over at Rovers if Lambert does leave I've suspected for a number of weeks that Irvine is Lambert's ready made replacement. I suppose it says it all when Irvine would actually represent a decent appointment when compared to Kean, Berg and Appleton, by way of his standing in the game and experience from Preston, Wednesday and West Brom. If Lambert walks then the football world will know that these people are impossible to work for and I suspect that someone like Irvine will be the best we can attract. We certainly won't be shopping around for managers already employed elsewhere. Venkys have always preferred to promote from within at all levels. Kean, Agnew, Bowyer, McPhillips, Myers - all already in place and waiting for promotion when a vacancy arose. Our next manager will almost certainly be one of Irvine, Kelly, Johnson or Dunn. That way there's no need for a proper managerial search and no need for compensation. The circus can continue with little/no input needed from India. I think Irvine will be decent appointment if he does but I think would much rather keep Lambert as manager tbh and I really hope he does This was tweeted by Moose the Talksport presenter when Dunn came back as U21 assistant! Ian Abrahams (Moose)Verified account @BroadcastMoose Feb 27 I hear David Dunn has been made Blackburn u21 assistant @AlanBiggs1 I'm told local bookies saying he will succeed Lambert, anything in it? don't see him as manager but as a coach I must have said half a dozen times that I reckoned sooner or later Irvine would be in the dug out. Just struck me as a strange no. 2 appointment right from the off and he's just the type you'd appoint to take over if you were cost cutting. Wouldn't be surprised if PL is only on some short term or rolling type deal and that's another reason as to why he's really stamping his feet. One things for sure though, WE'LL HAVE BEEN CONNED AGAIN!!! Lambert signed a 2 and half years contract when he became Rovers manager. Lambert wanted Irvine as his number 2 at Villa but couldn't due to he was still under contract at WBA on Gardening leave I fully expect PL to be our manager next season I think he will aswell cos he hasn't set the world on fire since coming here. don't see him getting the Celtic job tho More likely to be Lennon or Moyes for Celtic, you'd think. I can see Moyes being 1st choice there and I can see him taking it. no Premier League jobs available and a chance for him to rebuild his reputation there
Stuart Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 This isn't about David Dunn, nothing against Dunny whatsoever, or Alan Irvine, this is about venkys taking the p1ss for the last time if it happens.I guarantee you now that there will be Rovers fans DELIGHTED if Dunn becomes manager. I can here them now "At least he's a blue", "well he cares about the club".Pah! Give me a mercenary who knows what's required every day of the week.

My views on David Dunn are well documented, but I wouldn't want him anywhere near our managerial position under this lot. If he serves his time and gets more experience then maybe in the future, but long after Venkys have crawled back under the rock they came from.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 David Dunn?...the manager who was so successful at Oldham! Give me fookin strength!!!
Athlete Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 If Lambert leaves so will his backroom staff has been told there all singing from the same hymn sheet.. So can see a Johnson Dunn management team next season if the Venky's are still around cos tbh no one knows what these clowns will do come the summer
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 If Lambert goes that'll be me done for the foreseeable future. In some ways I'll be grateful to them for putting me out of my misery.

Leonard Venkhater Posted April 19, 2016 Posted April 19, 2016 Dunn and Johnson = hello third division (as was). All strangely circular. Remember the song.. "First Division here we come Right back where we started from..." How I hate Venky's... As for Abbey, "He ain't heavy, he's my brother..."
