Serving up some heads to save his own just like someone did before a few times perhaps? May not have been a bad idea revamping the coaching staff if he was staying but it was best all around for a fresh start really.

Didn't Kean throw one of his coaches under the bus? or was it Ince? Rings a bell.

Must have been Ince.

Wish Allardyce had thrown that lying drunkard under a double decker. Preferably full of really fat folk, going downhill at about 40 miles an hour. What a nasty, nasty, bloke. 0n the subject of pond life, he suddenly seems a more distant memory than he did three games ago.

Lambert cannot be expected to turn Bowyers sows ear into a silk purse overnight. The prevailing defeatism Bowyer instilled will take some time to change.

He'll have to change quite a few of the players to achieve promotion.Has anybody asked PL IF he actually goes and watches players.

Lambo's been brought in to get us up the league and he's doing it. His more robust style is turning what probably would have been draws into wins and we now can score first and still see out a game, that's the main difference. The style isn't much different to previous but it's more solid and organised possibly and he was never going to turn this team into a slick footballing outfit overnight. Do the best with what you've got is what good managers do when they first come in.

We are lacking that bit of quality still to turn one nils into comfortable two or threes but it's all about the points. Carry on like this and the second half of the season could be really interesting especially if he pulls off a signing or two.

Why would we need to do that? He's a professional manager isn't he---the real deal?

He's said we need new signings, he's said he's identified where the needs are, why wouldn't we just trust him to get on with it?

Criticise him if he fails but why now?

If not then I sincerely hope they do. He's spent the summer intensely studying the set-ups of Bayern Munich and Barcelona and having in-depth talks with some of the finest coaching minds in football. Its about time some know-it-all plonker Rovers fan moronically tells him he should watch players.

Why don't you read and listen to what Lambert has said since becoming Rovers manager.

will answer your question and give you more insight into Lambert and his thoughts.

Also Jal, we DO HAVE a scouting department to scout players. Clearly Lambert will decide who we sign in January,

Plus Don't forget that Lambert has spent time watching coaching methods of Klopp, Guardiola and Ancelotti. The week before he became Rovers manager he was watching the training methods of Ingolstadt

I think this as much as anything is one of the reasons that I've warmed so quickly to him. I can't remember the last manager who was so desperate to improve himself, as well as us. Really looking forward to seeing us next season when some of what Lambert has learned has had the time to be implemented.

I get the feeling the positive posters are the ones who haven't been to any matches recently. The team performances remind me of relegation form. 10 from 12 is an unbelievable total when taken in the context of the abysmal individual and collective performances on the pitch. Lambert's riding his luck big time because since his signing the only teams that we've beaten have been in the bottom 6 and a truer test is yet to come.

Blimey. How can you not be positive after what has gone on before? It might not be great on the pitch yet but replacing the acceptance of mediocrity with aspirations of success MUST give you positivity? Surely?

I have seen every game and I am more positive than I have been for years. And that positivity is borne out of believing that at last we have a football manager who actually knows what he is doing. Already he has identified weaknesses and is setting about putting them right on the training ground. I am confident that he will strengthen us immeasurably over one or two transfer Windows given the right backing.

Your negativity astounds me considering the start he has made. Professional football is all about winning and Lambert is doing just that. I fail to understand what more could he have done in four weeks?

You are really criticising the calibre of the squad. Under Bowyer, who assembled it, we would have been fortunate to escape relegation.

I'm on the record as saying avoidance of relegation was the aim for me this season with anything else a bonus.

If we miss out on a play-off place but put ourselves in a position to seriously challenge next season, I will be perfectly happy.

That, in my view, is a realistic assessment of where we are. If Lambert proves me wrong and exceeds this, I will be delighted.

The same bottom six that includes Bolton, MK Dons and Huddersfield, all of whom we failed to beat under Bowyer?
