This sounds like Souness in terms of mentality. He always said you had to give your all to win because winning gave you that extra bit of energy to run when your body was saying you couldn't. And didn't Brad say when they asked him at the end of the Worthington cup final that Souness had told them to win at all costs

Lambert's commentshttp://m.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/14142881.Paul_Lambert__Blackburn_Rovers_are_getting_stronger_mentally/

Lambert has made comments about Rovers mentally and this being his biggest problem. Articles in the Sun, Daily Mirror, Daily Express and the I

Lambert's just stating what we all know. It's been obvious for a good while that the mentality of the players was sadly lacking. They accepted defeat much too easily, it had got were they were just waiting to go behind in a game. The team spirit that we had seemed to be weak and almost artificial. Knee slides and high fives after a goal cut no ice with me. It's how you respond as a team when you've just gone behind with 10 minutes to play that is more telling.

It'll all take time to put right but at least Lambert know's what's wrong at the club.

Why don't you read and listen to what Lambert has said since becoming Rovers manager.

will answer your question and give you more insight into Lambert and his thoughts.

Also Jal, we DO HAVE a scouting department to scout players. Clearly Lambert will decide who we sign in January,

Plus Don't forget that Lambert has spent time watching coaching methods of Klopp, Guardiola and Ancelotti. The week before he became Rovers manager he was watching the training methods of Ingolstadt

Chaddy you can talk all you want but it's what you do with your hands head and feet on the pitch that interests me the most.

Who scouted Kiota chaddy the guy who allegedly has potential but delivers nothing ?

Who scouted Luke Varney ?

Who scouted Bradley Orr ?

My my Jal, don't you just love to be pedantic, Lambert hasn't/didn't scout Kiota or Orr so why throw them out there, he has stated why certain players are not playing and i am sure come January we will see positive changes, To get where we are now with what Bowyer left is a damned good start and should be noted as such. Give the man and team a little credit for once. Oh and try to get there tonight.

Surely scouting someone with potential and getting them cheap is the definition of good scouting?

3 wins out of 4 so far. Out of interest, why are you concerned what Chaddy does with his hands and feet??

I bet Lambert is delighted he can call on your footballing advice, I imagine he's counting his lucky stars and he logs on here regularly. Not seeking the advice of trusted experienced football scouts and people he's known and trusted for years.....

Firstly, I suggestion you read and listen to Lambert's comments. its in around 4 or 5 papers today.

why mention Varney or Orr when our CURRENT Chief Scout Tommy Johnson WASN'T EVEN at Rovers

We took a risk with Koita and it was always going to be so. Let see what Lambert does come January Transfer wise

Lambert knows what is wrong with the playing squad and he will try to improve the squad in January.

I wouldn't be surprised if Lambert signs a couple of players within the 1st week of the transfer window

Simon Garner another one that moaned when we sacked Bowyer:

If #rovers #brfc make it 9 points out of 9 tonight, I think we can start believing that top 6 finish is a real possibility

Fantastic comments from Lambert, just reading them has put me in a good mood. It's funny how your team can just stir emotion like that!

Simon Garners opinion will always carry weight on Rovers matters. Without the benefit of hindsight, a lot of us thought 'here we go again' expecting more self inflicted chaos. I know I did.

I have however changed my mind, and think it was a good call. Haven't heard Garns views on Lambo, but id be surprised if he didn't think it was a good appointment.

He and Gallacher went mad at Venky's 'treatment' of Bowyer and went on about how hard done-by he was. They let their personal feelings for Bowyer cloud their judgement and it was telling in their opinion pieces. A month ago they were making every excuse for Bowyer's failings, now they are ramping up the pressure on Lambert engineering a play-off push.

So who scouted Varney for Bowyer then swapped him for the lad from Ipswich chaddy ?

Good way of taking pressure off a player but at the same time motivating them into a reaction in training!

Do it to Rhodes ASAP then haha. Ofc I'd rather not sell but the version of Rhodes we've had for half a dozen games now has been utter tripe compared to his capabilities in both the physical side of the game and his goalscoring.

He's not had many clear cut chances- I seem to remember the last being the sheff weds game. There are a plethora of reasons ultimately why he could be misfiring, but I'm inclined to think its confidence rather than effort based on his previously shown commitment.

I also still see the lad defend for most set pieces and would love to see him never in his own half because we all know opposition teams make an effort to stop him. He takes players out of the game on solely that, Rotherham had 2 on him for 87 minutes.

I really dont care tbh about Varney

We have moved on from that IMO and instead of looking back on the past why not look forward to an exciting era under Lambert.
