Venky’s,

When you first came to this club you were like some privileged teenagers who were just here to party and have some fun. You needed to be in the limelight. You threw names like Ronaldinho and Beckham at us and let’s be honest you were just a little too over excited weren’t you?

Then you allowed the wrong people to influence you. The party ended. The curtains fell on Big Sam’s time with us and the dark times came. You carried on allowing the wrong people to lead you astray and you couldn’t make the right decisions if your lives depended on it.

We as fans were subjected to the Keans, the Shebbys, the Jerome Andersons and we grew to resent you. You came here, you destroyed the thing we all loved once again much like some teenagers partying through some poor parent’s house.

But then you started to take responsibility for your actions. You started to try and figure out how to fix things. You made mistakes along the way and you even seemed to have an obsession with Managers who couldn’t grow hair. Michael Appleton was particularly terrifying. Did you look at a picture before appointing him because I feel like had you done so you would have had nightmares over knowing he was running your club?

Once that was all over, you discovered managers could have hair too and you made the first good decision of your tenure here by appointing Bowyer. His limits were obvious, but his affinity with the club was just as obvious and he broke down the dead wood, chucked it out and replaced it all with a strong foundation. But Bowyer much like a lot of builders was taking too long to finish the task and those beautiful foundations he’d laid were at risk of never being used.

So you made your second and third good decisions. You paid the builder what you owed him and employed an architect who’s going to turn those foundations into we all hope will be beautiful.

Kudos to you for being there today as he was appointed but not showing your faces. You finally understand that to run a football club you have to stop treating it like a toy and start treating it like a business.

None of us have forgiven you, some of us might never forgive you. But today was a massive step for a lot of us to start considering it.

Wonder if they showed up in cheap hire cars, rather than the 'rub our noses in it' luxury vehicles they have done previously.

If you had the money would you not spend it on nice things? I know I would

Jack had money, but I cannot recall him being driven right to the front door of the stand in a luxury stretch.

For heavens sake, Jack was always whisked away from the ground to the airport by his chauffeur a couple of minutes before the match ended. I hardly imagine it was in a Ford Mondeo. Who cares?

If it's a genuine sign that they ate indeed fabulously wealthy I say bring it on. More like rubbing fans of other Clubs noses in it that we have extremely rich owners.

Them being wealthy and investing a proportion of that wealth into the Club are two entirely different things admittedly but they do appear to have been injecting 20m + p.a. onto the Club just to keep us in existence without batting an eyelid.

I would in private. I would not flaunt my wealth in the faces of those living in one of the most deprived ateas of the country though.

Time and a place for everything and all that.

Whilst I sort of agree with a couple of points in there I'm slightly gobsmacked by the tone and content on a day like this. If I received a communication as downright rude as that it'd go straight in the bin regardless of whether the content had some merit.

I though he gave it a right good go and did ever so well.

Cultural differences. You should go to India - the mix of extreme wealth and extreme poverty is all encompassing, staggeringly so. Blackburn doesn't look the least deprived in comparison.

He turned up in a white ford escort in the early days of his reign and drank halves of bitter in the John Lewis complex. Nowt flash about Jack. Besides the tantric one arranged that fleet of Bentleys when they rolled into town that time. Two birds with one stone for him there, impress the Venkys And wind up the fans in one go.

So glad we are moving on from that now.

Different context. We compare Blackburn with the rest of UK and Western Europe and its right down there.

We do not invite comparisons with India----yet.

Give the Tories a few more years though.
