Totally disagree. What's an embarrassment these days (as well as being slightly comical), is the ludicrous breakneck speed at which all our songs are sung. I've no idea why its become the norm, apart from the general concept that a lot of the singing types are generally quite thick and drunk. But its detrimental in a number of ways:

1. More people are put off joining in the song because its going too fast to insert themselves into the middle of it.

2. The song is quieter because the singers are struggling for breath while they're charging through it.

3. Its over much quicker, a combination of getting to the end of one repetition in under 10 seconds and the shortness of breath issue.

The one song that was belted out properly against Preston was "Rovers till I die" because its pretty much the only song left that some morons haven't found a way to speed up yet.

Bringing back the drum would improve our atmosphere massively, help with singing songs properly again and bring back the concept of singing songs for minutes instead of seconds. Of course its no coincidence that the people who used to give him the most stick are also the people who've ruined "Singing the Blues" and "Bolton Road" with their chronic lack of timing.

I think they are only capable of singing songs that consist of a players name.

Awful lack of creativity.

The drummer used to break the silence and got the crowd going. I'd hate to sit in front of him but they should give it a go again.

It may be unreasonable but I want our attendances to grow, starting tomorrow - but without it being more difficult for me to park.

Never found parking a problem with a ten minute walk to ground means I'm not stuck in standing traffic coming out. Short walk not for everyone though but once road works finished and we're back where we belong traffic round Ewood will be best it's ever been.

Never hear the songs I grew up with these days.

Wise men say, only fools rush in

but I can't help, falling in love with you

THE ROVERS

Really looking forward to tomorrow 3-1 rovers (Marshall 2 and Rhodes)

The arrival of Lambert reminds me of when Kenny came. Driving down to Swindon for his first away game! (we played crap but you sensed it was the start of something good).

Speaking of parking, any suggestions. We used to buy a parking pass because we often needed to arrive late and be guaranteed parking but as this is our first game this season we haven't. I won't be able to walk too far as I'm in hospital this morning for a minor op and may still be a bit groggy!

Hope all goes well this morning Gumboots - sorry I have nothing useful to add on parking.

I'm at a wedding today so can't make it. There should be a great atmosphere because the buzz is back I just hope the players perform and keep that buzz going as long as possible.

It appears from the official website that we have got more tickets for the Bristol City game next week. If I remember correctly the original allocation was something like 850 but the revised allocation is 1011.

I saw on the club's Twitter that we'd asked for more and they expect those to sell out today.

Something is stirring all right!

I try one of the car parks they set up in the businesses along Branch Road. Little bit of a walk though. Like you I am always a bit late, so anyone with other options - let us know.

You can park next to Ewood Park for 10 pounds and its only 2 mins there.

Or park next to Albion pub for 5 pounds. Only a couple mins of walk

Sheffield Wednesday’s back in town again!

TODAY’S OPPOSITES

Blackburn are a long established football club with a rich tradition. Like us, they have had their ups and downs. Recent history has been particularly cruel though. Despite being taken over by a wealthy Indian family and spending shed loads of money they were relegated from the Premier league in 2012.

In a desparate battle to stay up that season, the owners signed a new, unheard of goalkeeper. Known only as Rover, a name normally reserved for dogs, he came with a lifetime contract. Sensing an upturn in the club’s fortunes, the tormented but faithful fans snapped up the tickets for Rover’s debut. To their wide eyed surprise, the new shot stopper turned out to be a chicken!

Of course, it was an unmitigated disaster. Anything more than a waist high ball had the new keeper flapping hopelessly. It soon became obvious that the team were doomed. Some suggested that they might even have conceded less by not bothering to play with a goalie at all. Blackburn were duly relegated having gained the lowest number of points in their entire existence.

Blackburn entered the following close season determined to rebuild. Millions in parachute payments would ensure that solid signings could be made for a swift return to the top flight. Late that June, it was announced that Rover would also be in charge of transfer activity and for an undisclosed fee had already sourced the previously unknown free kick specialist and winger, Ken Tucky.

Five minutes into their first game of the new season, Blackburn were awarded a penalty after a handball fowl. Game on! The crowd roared as Tucky limbered up to the spot to take the kick but then suddenly wandered off in the opposite direction, scratching at the ground and clucking with glee as he found a corn seed nestling effortlessly in the grass. Someone else would have to step up and take the nerve wracking twelve yard shot on goal. They did. They missed.

The fans were furious. The board were forced to hold an inquiry. It later turned out that Rover and Ken Tucky were in fact related. Accusations of nepotism flew thick and fast. Both had previously worked laying eggs on a Venky’s factory farm in India and had no footballing experience whatsoever before being signed.

Blackburn soon came to the realisation that it would be a long, hard slog getting back out of the Championship and that’s how we come to be playing them today.

That's actually really good, and funny. Don't believe the Vs have suddenly become wise owners overnight after 5 years.

Massive few games coming up, we need to be up in the top group by new year so need to win games like this. No reason why not though.

Unfortunately can't make it due to work, (tried to get leave post Bowyer sacking but no go).

Very tough game and wouldn't be disappointed with a draw.

Wednesday have only lost one in the last thirteen and I do think some are getting a little over confident.

Maybe the poor weather conditions will help us as they seem to be a more technical team.

I would be disappointed with a home draw against any side in this league.

Precisely, Den. PL was spot on, mediocrity has been accepted at this club for too long.

As for today's team, with Lawrence likely to start from the bench, I think PL will go with:

Steele

Henry Duffy Hanley Olsson

Marshall Akpan Evans Conway

Taylor

Rhodes

It's going to be a tough game as they have some decent players in the likes of Bannan, Forestieri and Joao. That being said, I'll be disappointed if we don't claim the 3 points and I think we will with a tightly contested 2-1 win.

On a side note, are they in danger of becoming the next Big Club? Their fans need to wind their necks in.

Good old Yorkshire humour, you can see where bumley fans get it !

Looking forward to the game, think we can continue with a win although I think today will be as hard as PNE away.

Me and Preston Blue all set for the trek to Bristol next week so this could be a nice start to the festive month with some really winnable games ahead of us.

One thing I am looking ahead to is the massive Boro army going back home pointless this time and an away win at Bolton !!!
