Really need to sign a centre forward quick in this window. Rhodes needs someone to play up front with as he is always so isolated. Must admit to not being a fan of these ultra defensive formations, you need 2 up top.

It's not like throwing an extra man up front would necessarily make a difference if the build-up play is still lacking.

It should be Lawrence's job to find those pockets of space and link up with Rhodes.

Doesn't happen though. Good in theory but in practice it's just 5 in midfield unless you have players who are great at that role, and we don't.

If GB were in charge we'd be relieved to get 0-0, with PL in charge we know we can win this one with a deft change of tactics.

Not blaming PL at all. This is the team and the mentality he's inherited, it'll take time to change it. Hopefully we'll come out looking a bit better in the second half.

Have you seen the conditions battering England? I doubt any team are playing skilful football. It really does puzzle me what some people expected. Our players are poor, changing the manager does not make us Barca in a month (or ever).

Terrible, windy conditions - get Brown on and create some mayhem up there for Rhodes to feed off. One of those occasions where his nuisance factor may be particularly useful.
