Salgado Is Still A Hero Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 Home draw is fine. Fancy West Ham to beat Liverpool at home.

Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted January 31, 2016 Moderation Lead Posted January 31, 2016 Lawrenson is an absolute plank who's always had a chip on his shoulder about rovers. What is it with PNE?
VinjayV4 Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 Lawrenson is an absolute plank who's always had a chip on his shoulder about rovers. What is it with PNE? Seem to remember someone saying he was interviewed for Rovers manager and got laughed at. Liverpool or West Ham...anyone taking their car better be careful.
Mattyblue Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 Lawrenson is an absolute plank who's always had a chip on his shoulder about rovers. What is it with PNE? He really thinks he's hilarious. The commentator must cringe when they see that he'll be on the mic with him. Today's special: 'MK Dons are a club that do things the right way'
yoda Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 Lawrenson is an absolute plank who's always had a chip on his shoulder about rovers. What is it with PNE? Big club in 1888 you know
Spalding Rover Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 I'll be in the van for that one ! i wouldn't recommend that, i went to wednesday game last year, b*stards got in back of my van nicked my work radio before i could get to them!
Mike Graham Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 If Liverpool get through the game won't be on the Friday or Saturday as they are playing in the Europa League on the Thursday before. Chances are therefore that it might be set for Sunday or maybe even Monday. Sunday...a win on my Birthday. I might have to book a box to hold my Birthday party in
bigbrandjohn Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 Dream Ticket. Get Liverpool. Draw at home. Draw after extra time at Anfield and win on penalties. Bumper pay day to afford Rhodes return and buy more goodies in the Summer.
VinjayV4 Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 Not so sure Liverpool would be a sellout this time (in home areas at least) and West Ham certainly wouldn't be.
Mattyblue Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 You could be right, as it was a bit of a novelty last season and it was the quarter final. It will be on TV, so the size of crowd could depend on ticket prices.
VinjayV4 Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 http://www.rovers.co.uk/news/article/blackburn-rovers-emirates-fa-cup-paul-lambert-2930238.aspx Lambert's thoughts on the draw but West Ham is hardly a game of "such stature." Hardly a big deal for Blackburn Rovers. Sure it will be on Tv if its Liverpool and probably with West Ham.
roverandout Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 West ham are no big boys compared to us, at our level I'm afraid in terms of club size
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 West ham are no big boys compared to us, at our level I'm afraid in terms of club size Do you not know they won the World Cup in 1966 ?
Backroom DE. Posted January 31, 2016 Backroom Posted January 31, 2016 Of the two I'd much rather face Liverpool. WHU have players that could rip our sorry excuse of a team to pieces. Liverpool are more likely to have an off day imo.
philipl Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 West ham are no big boys compared to us, at our level I'm afraid in terms of club size Oh dear. Oh dear oh dear.
VinjayV4 Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 Do you not know they won the World Cup in 1966 ? Not to mention they have Gold and Sullivan as the owners. Any club they own is automatically the biggest in the world.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted January 31, 2016 Moderation Lead Posted January 31, 2016 West ham are no big boys compared to us, at our level I'm afraid in terms of club sizeWell, apart from having a far, far bigger fanbase than us!!!
BlueMonday Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 Do you not know they won the World Cup in 1966 ? Travelled on the Tube after the game at WHam in '95 surrounded by Hammers fans and had to listen to that for the entire journey. They have an inflated opinion of themselves. But who won the league that year?
47er Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 I hope it isn't Liverpool. The script is already written. We play well and go ahead, they fluke a late equaliser and we lose the replay narrowly. Given that we also have to suffer the "antics" of their fans in and around the town, I hope Wham beat them. We have a good record against West Ham anyway.

Ill take the tv money and gate receipts of 2 games vs Liverpool now. Dont care if we win or lose.
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 Oh dear. Oh dear oh dear. You've got to admire Roverandout. Maybe Real and Barca are fit to be mentioned in the same breath as the mighty Rovers but the rest ? Nah.
yoda Posted January 31, 2016 Posted January 31, 2016 You've got to admire Roverandout. Maybe Real and Barca are fit to be mentioned in the same breath as the mighty Rovers but the rest ? Nah. BARCELONA, This is Blackburn FFS

But, hypothetically, get a big crowd at Ewood and beat West Ham , then we are in the sixth round! Could be Manu at home, even bigger crowd and TV money! You never know. I want us to go as far in this competition as poss. Nothing else to play for other than avoiding relegation.

If we get West Ham it wont be a big gate. Don't get me wrong, would love a good cup run, but realistically we ain't good enough to win it, and could do with concentrating on the league form. I'll take the cash to invest in the team for next season.
