Mr. E Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 we need to hope Liverpool get back in this, I have a very bad feeling about what West Ham will do to us otherwise.

VinjayV4 Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 West Ham just gone 1-0 up Speaking of that I forgot EastEnders was on tonight...
chaddyrovers Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 West ham lucking to be winning but Liverpool havent took their chances
Salgado Is Still A Hero Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 West Ham are no great shakes, everyone in this competition is beatable. It might be preferable to play Liverpool as they're more likely to play a weaker side but you never know.
Mike Graham Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 Not too sure of that Salgado as the FA Cup will be at the top of the potential LFC silverware list.
pick32 Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 Rather face Liverpool, Payet is head and shoulders above everyone on the pitch
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted February 9, 2016 Moderation Lead Posted February 9, 2016 Coutinho is far too good for Liverpool when he's on song.
West Yorks Rover Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 Rather face Liverpool, Payet is head and shoulders above everyone on the pitch Might be able to more or less fill the ground if we get L/pool too, I think we might struggle to if it's West Ham.
Mike Graham Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 Ha ha ha ha ha Scousers have lost. So funny :-)
rigger Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 Ha ha ha ha ha Scousers have lost. So funny :-) Always the victims.
Mattyblue Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 Rovers bean counters crying into their horlicks...
Mr. E Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 Not good at all, Liverpool are slower and more clumsy, we could have stood a chance, but West Ham are very fast and aggressive, strong in the air and on the ground, just not sure what we can do against that. Only thing is they seem to do better vs bigger clubs, so maybe they'll underestimate us.
jim mk2 Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 Let's have a repeat of 1966 when we smashed West Ham 4-0 (I think - it was along time ago) in a cup replay under the Ewood floodlights. But not a similar ending to that season when we went down.
rigger Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 I don't think it matters who we play. If we play well we have a chance of winning. If we don't we have no chance!
frosty Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 West Ham have got all the Darwen End I see.....
47er Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 Let's have a repeat of 1966 when we smashed West Ham 4-0 (I think - it was along time ago) in a cup replay under the Ewood floodlights. But not a similar ending to that season when we went down. After a 3-3 draw at their place! Great game.
jim mk2 Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 After a 3-3 draw at their place! Great game. I presume Moore, Hurst and Peters were playing ? Rovers were on fire that night, though I missed the start and the first goal if I remember because the ground was packed and we couldn't get in the Riverside. I do remember it cost 2s 6d to get in, 12 pence (yes 12p in today's money). No one could understand why we played so well in the cup but were so poor in the league. I guess the pressure was off I suppose. We lost 1-0 at home to Sheff Wed in the quarter-finals and Wednesday went on to reach the final, losing 3-2 to Everton.
RevidgeBlue Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 Pleased West Ham have won. No rhyme or reason to it but I just feel we have a better chance of beating West Ham even though it might be argued they're a better side than Liverpool.
Paul Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 Can't say I'm excited by tonight's result. A home game with Liverpool would have been much better for local interest, atmosphere etc. WHU don't bring the same for me.
Mike Graham Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 West Ham have got all the Darwen End I see..... They will fill it as well. We will struggle to get say 13K or 14K home fans on unfortunately.
