Good win. Tad disappointed it wasn't by more but then it's still early days. And if the players are struggling to adapt performance wise they're still getting points on the board which is a non too shabby starting point.

As for the GB comparisons it may be a little bit like boxing where a flailing boxer looks impressive but in reality leaves himself open and deserves his lights knocking out, whereas a more guarded approach gets a victory but doesn't look as exciting or as deserved. Reality is 3 wins in 4 is looking a bit too consistent for a fluke.

One thing I will say is looking at the bench the squad is thin . Not much in the way of options for PL to change the game with.

He gets results, the difference between a Manager and a Coach is so evident right now.

2 points off the playoffs and that will keep the pressure on those above us to keep/try and increase that gap. A few more wins to close the year out and a transfer window for Lambert to bring in a couple of players to make that final push would be nice.

Nothing was functional under Gary Bowyer.

Still going on about him is like when your family keep mentioning an ex girlfriend they liked but you know was total div.

PLBWA

Newspapers and the internet are wasted on those who can't read fella.

Good job I am on hand to help him out

Great to see Brown's lauded hold up play at the end there taking the pressure off.

He was abysmal to be fair yet still more effective than Rhodes, hopefully Rhodes is due one of his purple patches but it's an issue Lambert has to look at. However if Olssons cut back was better we would be talking about a Rhodes goal now.

Akpan was the standout for me; a couple of times single handedly easing the pressure by running it out of defence.

Steele looked dodgy today one cracking save but when you are in injury time and a ball is floated in to you why on earth would to punch it instead of killing it?

A win, is a win, is a win.

The signs are extremely promising.

Imagine how good we could be when Lambert is able to bring in 2 or 3 of his players and spend even further time on the training ground.

Rejoice.

Our club is now a licence to print money !!!

I agree. Winning any which way is needed till Jan. Hopefully we then strengthen.

Brown was less effective than Rhodes in every way. Seems overweight, unfit and immobile. An inability to jump off the ground or move anywhere with any pace meant that the pressure was immediately back on. We need to create more for Rhodes. Barely gets a sniff of anything meaningful as the timing of our balls is all wrong. I thought Conway, Marshall and Lawrence were all predictable and one-dimensional tonight and Akpan and Evans didn't push on enough. Defence were mostly solid but a few dodgy moments, particularly early on.

Poor game but happy with the win.

I would give Rotherham some credit tonight. They were organised, disciplined and kept their shape well. We are very much a work in progress but Bowyers legacy in terms of fitness (or lack of) was apparent tonight. Jordan Rhodes and Ben Marshall are so unfit that it scares me. I think Lambert will be patient but if their match fitness is still short in January I believe he will sideline them. Lots of other players look like they are still having a pre season.

But winning is the name of the game so happiness prevails.

Benched for Monday then? The little lambs might need a week to recover from idling around.

The best thing I can say is that we won.

Apart from two or three decent moves we were shocking.

Fortunately they had no idea up front and our defence was solid, but the passing across the box in the first ten mins was heart in the mouth stuff!

No service to the forwards and little link up play anywhere in midfield.

And final word must go to Brown, but I'd be banned if I type it!

Still, we won again and the points are on the board.

Hope its better on Monday.

Reporter on the radio said Wolves were the better team tonight, they were winning 1-0 too, sounded like they were too eager to get

another goal and conceded 1-1.

I thought both Wolves and Forest looked poor. Forest look a bit iffy at the back. We should get the ball wide whenever possible and also try and win a few set pieces/corners etc. Very winnable game on Monday.
