Garbage. Hard to put into words how disgusting that performance was. Bolton looked like the team that had an extra few days rest, not us. We were slow mentally, slow physically and second best all over the pitch for huge periods of this match.

Let's be clear, we were playing a Bolton team who have won only one game all season. The players aren't being paid. The club is a mess from top to bottom and in absolute crisis. Despite all of that their players looked far more up for it than ours today, and that is unforgivable. The likes of Henley, Guthrie, Akpan, Koita, Delfouneso, Marshall and Rhodes were simply appalling. Rhodes aside, all of them could be shipped out tomorrow and replaced with youth team players with more heart and/or talent. A blood boiling effort from the lot of them.

Lambert has to take some of the blame here, too. I have no idea what he's doing but we're getting worse rather than better under him. A Rovers player hasn't scored for four games now. Lawrence has been frozen out in favour of the awful Koita. Rhodes has become absolutely ineffective and useless. The players look unfit, unprepared and without any idea of how to score a goal. A lot of them aren't good enough but they aren't THIS bad. Whatever PL is doing is not working, it's making things worse. Why are we continually aiming for Shane "off target" Duffy at set pieces and corners? Why are we so poor at controlling and passing a football? Why is Tom Lawrence behind Koita and Delfouneso in the pecking order? Why is Jordan Rhodes completely ineffective? Why do we lose possession so often? Why are we second best so often to balls in the air and on the ground? A lot of questions that PL needs to answer, because it wasn't this bad even under Bowyer this season. Today was nothing short of sickening and Lambert needs to acknowledge that it isn't good enough and has to change.

I feel sorry for the fans who traveled to watch a team who only seemed up for it in the last ten minutes, after we were a goal behind. Forget the playoffs, we're going to end up looking back over our shoulders unless Lambert sorts this mess out and brings in some major reinforcements in January. Things can't go on like this and Lambert had better not come out with a Bowyer-esque post match interview, he needs to tell the truth. After a purple patch we're now worse than ever before. What an embarrassment this team are.
