G Somerset Rover Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Are we ever going to test the opposition GK? Did our best not to do it last game and are giving it a 'right good go' this time out. Delfy coming on over Lawrence. Jesus wept. I get the feeling that it's just never going to work for Koita in a Rovers shirt.

Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Oir pressing has been noticably better. Midfield still a huge concern.
Backroom DE. Posted December 28, 2015 Backroom Posted December 28, 2015 Delfouneso? Are you @#/? kidding me? Has Lawrence shagged Lambert's wife or something? JHC.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 There can be no excuses for this woeful first half....4000 have travelled to watch this non performance!
Speedie Dived Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Pinching the ball in the final third is about the only positive of the half. Distinct lack of quality going forward.
Backroom Tom Posted December 28, 2015 Backroom Posted December 28, 2015 Marshall needs flogging - either sense of the word will do!
Mr. E Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Outrageous. It's been a long time since I've said this, but the fault is in the players. While they seem to be trying, any quality from last season has completely deteriorated. In defense we're actually may be slightly better compared to the calamities of last season, but the midfield is non existent, and all the bad form has really brought down Rhodes' form as well. Scrapping desperately against a bottom of the table League 1 bound side. Not surprising when our entire attack is limited to Conway's harmless, aimless balloons. But if we can only do loans in the transfer window, there's little hope. Lambert can't spin straw into gold, not with this lot.
G Somerset Rover Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 PL really has to start finding a way of getting us ticking moving forward. Opposition goalkeepers aren't bloody required at the moment. Shot shy and goal shy, not to mention the pathetic final balls and a distinct lack of pace throughout the side. One goal scored in the last 3.5 games (almost 6 hours) and that was from a Rotherham defender!
deryck guyler's spoon Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Feck me, I hadn't realised that were are that sh 1te.
Pedro Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 They need to get control of the ball and get it passed in front of people - without it bouncing around. Very poor half from our players.
AllRoverAsia Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Duffy outstanding and Hanley good and carrying Henley. Marcus ok. Midfield - utter crap. Akpan is a footballer? He's having a laugh. Guthrie very poor but exceeded by Marshall. Head down Conway just playing poorly. With that s-hite going on little suprise that we created little. Rhodes ran a lot! Koita - sorry he will not be here next Season. Long range shooting? I bet they can't even pli-ss straight.
LDRover Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Why have we stopped pressing high up the pitch? We can't create anything so our best hope is to force a mistake. The only time we did that 1st half gave us our best chance of the half.
Husky Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Well. It's better than that god damned awful game back in August. The good thing shout this early kick off championship stuff is that I have prime view in the pub and no bar waiting time.
Backroom DE. Posted December 28, 2015 Backroom Posted December 28, 2015 Koita - sorry he will not be here next Season. Shouldn't be here after January. An injury prone plodder playing at least two leagues above his level. Where are the players that made a cameo in the first half against Forest btw? Would like to have them back, rather than the disjointed mess that has replaced them ever since.
BlueMonday Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Well hopefully that's the poor half out of the way and the good half is to come. We look sluggish. Let's hope PL can keep getting points out of this squad until he can shape it to his liking. If Rovers can notch one I think Boltons heads will drop, but we need more bite in the last 3rd.

Mercer Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Oh dear. Can only hope that Bolton shot their bolt in first half. As always, we can't control midfield. Guthrie playing two leagues above his level. Everything goes against you when you are bottom and for that reason, I think somehow Rovers will chisel out a 2-0 win.
Husky Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Delfounso looks like a 2nd string basketball player drafted into the soccer squad due to a food poisoning epidemic. #Middlesbrough not involved.
OJRovers Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Guthrie's hoof over the bar is embarrassing. Sunday league player would've done better. How these players earn what they do is ridiculous. Neither team had control of the ball, to call it professional football is a joke.
Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 Lawrence for Marshall at half time should be Lamberts next sub. The lad looks shot of any belief. Poor half. You would like to think we will get on top second half but who knows!
des Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 if the team needs to be rebuilt and it does and if we get 12-14 mill for our star forward and if all the money goes back into the team them we need to sell to rebuild
