For what it's worth. He looks pretty comfortable on both the left and right foot. He also looks a good player with his back towards goal, and picking up the loose balls. If he signs, we just have to hope he is motivated enough to want to get his career back on track.

The Ex Norwich love in isn't something to get excited about.. Just cos some of them did a job for PL a few years ago doesn't mean they still can as time as evolved

Tugay and Brad did a job for Souness. Lambert knows what they are capable of, and they know what Lamberts expectations are of them. Which is why the current lot are struggling for oxygen, because they had an easy ride with Bowyer. Fact is, these players are so soft, that if Lambert had to raise his voice just a bit, they would probably shed a tear or 2

Exactly. We are 18th in the League and heading for the bottom three. Beggars can't be choosers and it's simply a case of survival in the short term.

Haven't looked at those videos Iceman, but I would be surprised if Graham is technically better than anything we've got.

I like the fact these guys are around 30 which means they should still have a few good years to offer and have been around the traps at a higher level. Some experienced heads amongst younger shoulders

Just like Murphy and Etuhu were...

They didn't come for the manager there because we didn't have a manager, just Kean. These guys are coming to do a job for someone they presumably respect. Didn't Clough take John Roberts everywhere he went because he knew he was his man? Savage came to us because he wanted to play for Hughes. There must be loads of other examples. At the moment Lambert feels he needs allies and if they're low cost and relatively short term I don't see the problem

Well, seeing as we're back up and running, I'll be the first to post the news that we've signed Danny Graham on loan to the end of the season. I like his comment on Sky about it being good for both parties - hopefully he's coming with a point to prove then.

As it's only a loan deal, there seems minimal risk.

We sign Danny Graham and the forum crashes for 6 hours lol.

A very good signing tho imo. Just what we need

Damn! Just beat me to it! :D

I welcome the Graham signing and feel he's a big improvement on Brown, Koita and Delfounseo.

As for Bennett and Jackson, the jury is definitely out.

I look at it in a simple way. If we are to make progress, each signing MUST improve the team otherwise we are wasting our time.

Graham will hopefully do a job, decent signing. One thing I remember about Elliott Ward is him absolutely thumping a penalty into the top corner when Coventry beat us at home in the FA Cup 4-1 under Sparky, long time ago that! Would be pleased if Ward signed though good player.

Happy with that signing. A massive improvement on all our striking options bar Rhodes.

Ward would be a decent addition at the back, a steady eddy.

Not a massive fan of Bennett, dont really know what he offers. But a decent back up player in the future. Jackson is clearly just a stopgap.

Central midfielder and winger now needed. I'd take Gibson and McGeady!

If you get a chance to Watch it Dennis, then you will see he is much better than Brown and Koita at least.

This. I agree that Graham on the face of it appears a huge improvement over the other 3 striking options we have, but at the same time he probably isn't going to get anyones pulses racing with excitement. We know he isn't premier league quality, but he certainly can do a good job at this level. It's not so much about him scoring lots of goals (that would be a great bonus) but it's finding the right type of player to play alongside Rhodes and get the best out of him.
