So far, Lambert's contacts appear to extend no farther than Norfolk. To be fair to him, there are plenty of average players to choose from in this country without having to bring in very average players from abroad.

Get over it allardyce has gone ... He ain't coming back either.

Zzzzzz give it a break mate. He's on a tight budget, it's January and he's going with what he knows...so would you!

Ive no problem managers going back for players the know and trust , the very best have done it ... Mourinho's first signings at Chelsea-included Carvarhlo and Ferreria from Porto then Deco iirc .... Didn't work out to badly for him

PL comments today about wanting a no.10 must throw doubt about Tom Lawrence's future at Rovers , unless of course it's a bit of "@#/? or get off the pot" dig at Larwence and his advisors

If I was Swansea I would be signing Rhodes at 12m. He would fit in there and probably keep them up.

Oh aye, he's on fire at the minute.

Hopefully Lambert will avoid collecting rubbish and the general haberdashery that has blighted recent transfer windows of other managers. Quality please. Mind you, it can't be too hard to buy better than the current lot.

I wonder if Hoolahan still feels the same about Lambert :

“I haven’t spoken to anybody at Aston Villa, but of course a move to play for Paul Lambert again would appeal to me,” said Hoolahan.

“I played some of the best football of my career under him and it was Paul who converted me from a winger to playing in the hole behind the striker."

This was when he was linked with a move to Villa in 2014.

The article shows how things have changed down at Brockhole, no "shoot" sign, just "pass and Move" now

Brock where?

They are in disarray. New manager, in free fall. If he goes there, which I think he might we will be playing against him next year.

And Rudy too.
