Come on Chaddy you've been slacking lately. Twitter ( whatever that is ) is linking us with a £2.5 million move for Matty Done at Sheff Utd. Can't see it myself.

Can't see us spending 2.5 mill on someone who's 27 and unproven at this level.

Exactly what we need though, we aren't in a position to buy a 18-21 year old who has potential, we need a player who can do it now, and if he can then £2.5 is a bargain really mate.

Bargain? Connor Washington cost about that! I'm not talking someone specifically 18-21 but someone who will have some sort of resale value at the end of his contract which this lad won't. If he was good enough for the championship then he'd already be playing in it but at going on 28 and 2.5 mill? I wouldn't be comfortable with that.

5 minute warning imminent...

We know about Watt, anyone else I wonder.

I am sure Lambert get get a spark out of him, get him amped up for the team. However if better than the current players and if he succeeds can we keep him grounded. Well prem clubs meter his progress and come in with a shock bid. What charge for the loan? There imma done.

Spoke to a friend of mine who actually supports Queen of the South but is extremely knowledgeable about Scottish football. I asked him about Tony Watt and below is what he said. My reading of that is we have potentially a diamond in the making and PL just might be perfect?

Tony Watt. He was the next big thing. Have been following his career losley. He was signed by Celtic from Airdrie who were in the second division at the time. That is a league below queens. So it really was a punt for Celtic. Next minute Celtic get injuries and he scores the winner against Barcelona at park head. It really was Roy of the rovers. An amazing night at parkhead. It was probably the worst thing to happen to him at such a young age. It went to his head. Thought he had made it. He ended up out on loan in Belgium. He had a good spell on Belgium but he never sorted out his attitude. Celtic eventually got rid and he has been drifting. I think you have a player with potential but he needs to sort out his heed. Maybe to late but never say never. He is only 22. There is a couple who come up from Blackburn to see queen of the south. The are big Blackburn fans. She does something at half time at Blackburn. Can't remember exactly what but she is a real football nut. Hope Tony watt. Screws the nut.

Not sure if this was overlooked or not from Kamy (on twitter) a few hours ago...thinks this might be McGeady.

Rovers also trying to push through creative midfielder loan deal, player we are negotiating for plays for a Premier League club.

Steven Pienaar

Be happy with that... Shall we just sign Everton's reserves?

Won't happen :) just me wanting this Saffer in our team. ;)

You think I'm on twitter ? I waste enough time on this site ! I came across a mention of it on the Rochdale AFC fans forum.

Not really the sort of player I had in mind.

I know you are not on Twitter, I was being sarcastic :) I'm sure I added a few smileys at the end

Anyone else expecting Jordan Rhodes to leave before the window closes?

I can't see why Danny Graham and Tony Watt would join if they weren't guaranteed first team football. They would have had plenty of other suitors that could have offered them it.

I think its far too late to accept a bid for Rhodes in this window.

I wouldn't be surprised if Rhodes goes in the summer and gets his chance in the PL.

Lambert is looking to build a squad with different options which is need in this league.

Adel tarapt , is struggling in Benfica , think he has been with the reserves there . Would be great for us!!

no thanks

I'm hoping for McGeady. Skill and tricky winger.

would prefer McGeady to Pienaar all day long.

I think Lambert will strength the Midfield area during the summer. Look like we are going to a 4-4-2. so I think we need a goalscoring/playmaker centre midfielder.

so what about bidding for Derby midfielder Jeff Hendrick.

in 14/15 season he scored 7 goals and had 8 assists

I watched Rovers vs Celtic at Parkhead in a pre-season friendly a few seasons ago. Think we won. Dunn had a good game.

One of the Celtic players really stood out that day. Had to ask my Celtic supporting mate who he was. Turned out to be McGeady. Brilliant player apparently but switches on and off and not particularly reliable.

Mm. Another Nzogbia ? Bit of a luxury in our division ? Maybe Lambert thinks he can make him tick.
