Middlesbrough have turned back to Jordan Rhodes and deal is just about done. They failed to agree terms with Fulham for Ross McCormack.

A heck of a lot of Rhodes talk on social media right now. Are we starting to see the reason Watt was brought in perhaps?

If he does go then I hope there is a clause that he can't play against us, given that Boro is the next league game (crikey)

If that's true then I would fully expect a signing of McGeady proportions to follow soon after. Not an expectation on my part I should add. But I think lambert would only sanction that if it allows him to splash a good chunk of the cash.

Danny graham as the street fighter never rang true to me. If Rhodes leaves then Graham will be the goal hope and Watt will be the menace.

Yeah if Rhodes goes watt is not good enough to replace him.

If we replace Rhodes with Graham and Watt there is a very real chance we will go Down.

If rhodes is sold for £10m+ then I expect a decent signing on Monday.

It's been talked about every transfer window. If Boro are willing to pay stupid money then maybe it's time to let it happen.

Ain't leaving us much time is it and my fear is Watt/Graham are the combo up front now. Just not enough goals there.

I do fear for us without Rhodes and with that February fixture list.

We need to move for Walsall striker Tom Bradshaw as his replacement.

Could it be a busy couple of days with Lambert looking to sign few players before deadline day

Jordan Rhodes on verge of joining Middlesbrough after leaving Blackburn team hotel for talks. #Boro #MFC #brfc

Rhodes goes = relegation it's as simple as that

If we sell him it doesn't matter about the owners getting us out of FFP and hiring Lambert it shows complete lack of ambition

I'd like to think that there are some options out there for £7-8m.

Sad to see it happen. But we've been delaying the inevitable. He's not a £10m player but I guess that's not the issue. He clearly wants to move on so I don't hold it against him.

In a funny way it's almost a relief to get it over with. Disappointed for him that he's still in the Championship though. He's earnt a shot at a better team then Boro.

Graham has scored plenty of goals at this level. You only need one goal to win a game.

If we can become a better all-round team, and continue to sign players like Watt, I think we'll be fine.

Jordan Rhodes will have a medical at Middlesbrough on Saturday after an initial £9m fee was agreed. Deal could rise to £13m #mfc #brfc

Happens that quick then..from a brilliant day to a nightmare.. Don't care what people say.. Selling him at this point is suicide.. We better pray the teams below us don't pick up.. As we would be @#/?

It doesnt mean relegation at all.

We have to trust Lambert.

He is proven at this level

Guy on a Boro forum says Kike or Forshaw may come the other way. Could just be rollocks. Kike doesn't score nearly enough to replace Rhodes.

Forshaw would be good.
