Pedro Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 He was always going this window. The lad wants out and hasn't been performing for months. I'm not sure how people have been able to deny that for so long. It's a shame but it's the right time, my arguement will remain the same, we need to improve the overall squad much more than we need to keep an unhappy player who has served us well but drifts in and out.

G Somerset Rover Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 If Rhodes goes to Boro, why not go for McCormack ourselves to replace him? They only went for Rhodes because Fulham wouldn't let RM leave.
davulsukur Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Paul Wheelock @PaulWheelock 15s15 seconds ago It's true. Jordan Rhodes is leaving #rovers to sign for Middlesbrough. More to follow. 15 seconds?
Reedy You're A Star Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 They only went for Rhodes because Fulham wouldn't let RM leave. Money talks and there's no way we'll go back into the embargo if we sell Rhodes for 10m+. Throw some cash at them and see what happens.
allanncd Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Only good bit of this is that we're going to be spending some big dough in summer. In League 1
patrickvalery Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 They only went for Rhodes because Fulham wouldn't let RM leave. Ah but they haven't faced the persuasive Mr Shaw have they. The man who could fall into a barrel of tits and come out suckling his thumb.

Reedy You're A Star Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Ahhhh so Lamberts interview this week WAS a come n get him? Funny that... You were obviously right. But, now's not the time for told you so's.
Kie_BRFC Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Ahhhh so Lamberts interview this week WAS a come n get him? Funny that... Shut up you clown
JAL Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 The money will have disappeared by the summer Mani begs to differ tomphil.
AJW Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 A real shame , but he certainly hasn't looked a £9m player in recent weeks perhaps his hear just wasn't in it .....I just hope Lambert knows what he's doing And has 1 or 2 gems up his sleeve I remember The Geordies went mad when Keegan sold Andy Cole but the money he got made them title contenders lets up Lambert can do similar
yoda Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 You don't sell your best players and make progress
Backroom Mike E Posted January 29, 2016 Backroom Posted January 29, 2016 You don't sell your best players and make progress We haven't sold Hanley!
joey_big_nose Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Can't see it. There's no guarantee you would get a better price now than in the summer. Why take on the huge risk of selling him?How wrong was I...?
booth Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Despite the performances, the losses and the lacklustre signings I've backed Lambert because I believe he has a long term plan but selling Rhodes this late, in January, is suicidal. I thought he might go in the Summer when we could strengthen and buy a decent replacement. However we've now three scenarios that I can see. 1) we have someone lined up who is amazing. 2) we're taking a risk relying on our current strike force to keep us in the league. 3) we're going to panic buy on the last day and buy a donkey on inflated wages. Edit: This is Blackburn Rovers 2016, so I'm not expecting number 1.
Gumbi Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Leicester have supposedly agreed a fee for Loic Remy so a loan move for Ulloa may be an option.
Reedy You're A Star Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 You don't sell your best players and make progress Depends if you replace them with better. Speedie was one of our best players...
beanie Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 It's 9 now but the fee is really 13 as Boro will definitely go up.
J*B Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 It's 11 really. 9m now, 2m if they go up, 2m in premiership related add ons. So we only owe Huddersfield 200K plus anything remaining from the transfer. 20% of the profit.
booth Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 It's 9 now but the fee is really 13 as Boro will definitely go up. So how much is that if we remove what we still owe on him and Huddersfield's percentage? 3 million profit? (if Boro go up)
