T J Hooker Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 i think we have a decent range of striker types now but i think we could really do with a nippy, scrappy little git(dickov type) unless people think Jackson fits that bill(i haven't seen him play yet)

Lancaster Rover Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Isn't Charlie Adam out for 5/6 weeks? I'd not realised his injury was that serious, fantasy prem have him coming back on 12th March, puts an end to that anyway.
J*B Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Didn't realise Lawrence's loan ends tomorrow. Surely we can't have Watt, Graham in and Rhodes, Koita and Lawrence out. Especially with Fonz out for the season.
Stuart Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Didn't realise Lawrence's loan ends tomorrow. Surely we can't have Watt, Graham in and Rhodes, Koita and Lawrence out. Especially with Fonz out for the season.Somebody shot me down the other day saying Lawrence isn't a striker anyway. Is Jackson a striker or winger? We will certainly need reinforcements before close of business on Monday.
chaddyrovers Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 6 Championship clubs interested in Lawrence on loan http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3424128/Leicester-forward-Tom-Lawrence-wanted-six-Championship-clubs-Blackburn-loan-comes-end.html

His head was never in the game here.
Dean Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Anyone else expecting Jordan Rhodes to leave before the window closes? I can't see why Danny Graham and Tony Watt would join if they weren't guaranteed first team football. They would have had plenty of other suitors that could have offered them it. Not a bad first post eh! For the record, I'm glad he's leaving. He's behind the likes of Jonny Russell, Chris Martin and Stevie May for Scotland because he's a very limited footballer and basically dictates the way a team has to play. We'll be a better team without him!
Dean Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 What a @#/? 2nd post though;) Don't get me wrong, great goalscorer. Just rubbish at everything else, which makes it difficult for those around him. Genuinely excited by Graham and Watt. I think we'll see more from the likes of Conway now as well.
yoda Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Has Rhodes signed for Boro yet? Not announced yet
Veevs Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Has Rhodes signed for Boro yet? medical stage.. so pretty much yes he has. Still think we may have a surprise or two in store before the window closes, I don't think PL would of let Rhodes go without a bit of reassurance that some money would be spent or the confidence that he either A. He can get someone special in for a few quid as a replacement or B. That he can make something special of the Graham/Watt combo and strengthen elsewhere. In a dream world for me we will now land a Leader in the middle of the park, a good left back (hell unspectacular but with a little pace would do) and some like McGeady this would be a very very good window. For some reason Graham and Watt remind me of the Shearer (Flamboyant career start, 1 in 4 scorer at Southampton, strong, quick, can pass/shoot/take a man on and full of confidence) and Newell (old head formerly a top scorer who was on a bad patch.. same stature, style and scoring record as Graham).

danger19_80 Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Paul Wheelock @PaulWheelock The gist of what Paul Lambert said: no one player is bigger than #rovers and the money will help the club rebuild.
Backroom Tom Posted January 30, 2016 Backroom Posted January 30, 2016 Lambert confirmed Lawrence is leaving as well
Leonard Venkhater Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Lambert confirmed Lawrence is leaving as well Good imo
T J Hooker Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Lambert confirmed Lawrence is leaving as well no real loss, should have been told to do one when he and his agent said he'll only come back for a month.
The Rover of Finland Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Lambert confirmed Lawrence is leaving as wellYet he gave Lawrence minutes today. Strange one.
tomphil Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Seems like they'd already decided his destination after the window but opted to take another months wages from Rovers until his next club had room for him. Should have told him and his agent to get stuffed, good job I'm not a manager
