RevidgeBlue Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Lambert confirmed Lawrence is leaving as well Totally irrational but I never forgave him for missing that sitter against the Dingles. Talented but strikes me as another three or four game a season player like Cairney, King, Marshall etc. As others have said no great loss.

Tyrone Shoelaces Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Yet he gave Lawrence minutes today. Strange one. He came on for Watt I think. Direct swap. No point taking any risks with the game won.
VinjayV4 Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 No loss seems to have a bad attitude probably a consequence of where he started his career. Guess he needs his mum to approve of where he's going next.
Mercer Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Friend, Derby fan, who was at the IPRO last night reckons Hanley is the man Derby want to shore up their defence. Seemingly, Clement remembers him well from his time at Ewood. Could be an interesting weekend.
Lancaster Rover Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 According to the radio Lawrence missed another very good chance today.

FGS5635 Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 If rhodes does go we are under no pressure to sell and only a short time to reject bids
davulsukur Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Lawrence is potentially a decent player. He is raw and very much still learning. Not sure he is what we need at this rebuilding stage. If he was a Rover, things would be different as he could develop as a player for us in the future but as a loan, not what we need right now.
Mercer Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 If rhodes does go we are under no pressure to sell and only a short time to reject bids Think it was a 'business' decision to sell Rhodes and not a financial necessity.
LDRover Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Lambert has sold him because he doesn't rate him and the price was better than he could've dreamt. I'm certain of that.
neophox Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Well how many goals has Rhodes scored in the last 15 games?

RevidgeBlue Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Would be a shocking move to sell Hanley and replace him with 31 year old Ward. That really would be the last of the family silver flogged. Rumours about Hanley surface every window. Last one it was the Dingles. I would imagine Hanley is more of a Lambert type player than Rhodes.
neophox Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 But at this stage of the season could be daft ...but keep faith in PL
Torgeir Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Sorry, probably didn't explain properly. The money would be saved to spend in the summer - i.e. sell now whilst it is a seller's market, and buy in the summer when prices drop. In other words, are Graham and Watt replacing Rhodes until the summer? They're definitely good enough to keep us up, and this season is a write-off in terms of promotion. Probably barking up the wrong tree, just seems odd that one of them would be happy to sit on the bench. Big gamble given our current situation. Hope we have time to reinvest some of it now.
Mani Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Anyone listened to the audio from Lambert? Heard it live and would love to listen again if anyone had the link?

Derby friend reckons they have too many players and Clement struggling to keep them all happy with Forsyth (left sided defender / midfielder) and Hendrick (midfielder) being two of them. Throw those two in and 2 or 3 £million and who knows...........!?!?

chaddyrovers Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Hendrick (midfielder) being two of them. I hope Lambert looks to sign him before the deadline

deryck guyler's spoon Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Hendrick is a good player, nice little cameo against Manyoo last night. Could be the creative midfielder we are looking for.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted January 30, 2016 Moderation Lead Posted January 30, 2016 I agree, would be a big risk. Derby friend reckons they have too many players and Clements struggling to keep them all happy with Forsyth (left sided defender / midfielder) and Hendrick (midfielder) being two of them. Throw those two in and 2 or 3 £million and who knows...........!?!? They're trying to buy their way out of the league and seem convinced FFP doesn't apply to them. Hope them and 'Boro fail and get slapped with an embargo tbh but I'm not holding my breath! This doesn't so much apply to Derby, but the fact 'Boro get average gates of 15k and pay Downing £60k a week, yet comply with FFP really gets my goat
Speedie Dived Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 http://www.itv.com/news/update/2016-01-30/blackburn-to-reinvest-rhodes-money-in-squad/ Really interesting comment about us turning down the money in the summer. Pretty much sums up what a few have been saying that the team should now be stronger.
