Lambert has shown since he has come in that we are more direct and looking to high pressing game(like we did yesterday according to fans at the game).

Plus has Lambert adapt his tactics to suit Rhodes?

Your opinion only then?

From watching alot of Rovers games under Lambert

Didn't ask how you formed your opinion. Just that it is your opinion only and not fact as you intimated in your post.

F**k it, let's just invest anyway and keep Rhodes. The rest of the Championship can get away with it, why can't we?

Would love to say let's go for overspending, but we've done that for too many seasons now and if we overspend without getting promoted we'll go the way of Portsmouth and Bolton - our financial situation is somewhat precarious!

I really dont @#/? like Boro. This is great, destabilise our player, wait until we've lined up replacements or reinforcements elsewhere and our manager has basically come out and said we're better off selling him, then pull the plug at the last minute. Screwing our plans and unsettling our star striker. Thanks Boro!

For the record, I didn't want to sell him anyway but had come to terms with it. But none of this has benefitted us one iota. We should have told them to do one the moment they left it this late to bid.

My tongue was quite firmly in cheek there!

Wish we could, but know we can't.

It is annoying seeing other teams able to do it though. Guess it's largely because we're saddled with debt repayments and interest which would probably pay for a few players.

Really annoyed it's fallen through - could go one of a few ways though. Hopefully Rhodes comes back with a point to prove. It'll be interesting to see if Rhodes plays next weekend - not because Lambert has moved on or because Jackson and Watt are suddenly a new partnership, but because I don't think Lambert will have him in the team if he's not in the right frame of mind.

He's been a model pro so far so I think he'll be fine.

Rhodes should play, certainly against Middlesbrough.
