So another relegation rival going in for up and coming players ..While we wait to see if Rhodes gets an extra few grand !!

wonder how you would have reacted if Bristol went for Watt

Drama Queen

Wait a minute, Bristol City haven't had to sell a £9 million player first before spending money on Bradshaw.

Just us then that has to do that.

Bristol City haven't been paying £45k a week to one player for the last few years. Hopefully we'll have the freedom to start buying more young players once Rhodes has gone.

Although I would point out that we've signed Tony Watt in this window. I'd rather have him than Bradshaw.

Not looking at anyone in particular but i find it fascinating that many get upset at us signing "journeyman" players with bags of experience in the Championship (and maybe even a promtion in their luggage), some premier league experience (either firstteam or squad) but think we should be rushing out to sign unproven lower league players (a tactic that hasn't quite delivered for us)??

Deli Ali effect. There is a reason why players are playing in lower leagues, by and large they are not as good as the players above them. There are obviously one off exceptions.

Nor have they already pocketed £12 million in transfer fees in the last 2 windows without spending anything the other way.

For some reason we seem to be overlooking that we've already trousered a lot of money by cashing in on our assets, namely Gestede, Cairney, King, Olsson and the sell on fee for NZonzi which was rumoured to be £2 million in itself.

I do wonder what happens next in terms of generating funds for signings. After Rhodes has gone we've only Hanley and possibly Marshall worth much and together they wouldn't fetch what Rhodes will.

Slippery slope keep relying on selling better players. Usually only ends one way.

"Journeymen" guaranteed to get worse. Up and coming players may not come off but may prove to be sensational. We can't afford the finished article at present.

I know which I'd rather nearly always choose although you do ideally need a couple of experienced heads in the side.
