I'd say Holt would be more use to the squad than Brown has been, only acceptable on a modest contract though.

With the exceptions of Lowe & Koita, they're all out of contract next summer.

Brilliant. Hopeully they will all leave and not take places away from others. Clear the decks of mediocrity.

It's also good to hear names like Gayle instead of taking Heskey off Bolton.

The northern echo reporting Boro in for Ross Mccormack if so can't see em coming for JR

4 years older that Rhodes and doubt they'd pay the asking price, sure Rhodes is still first choice for them. No chance of us getting Lansbury so forget that. John Guidetti would be class but can't see that happening at all.

Adel tarrabt is now linked.. Through spource on twitter

very good player but seems to come with attitude and fitness problems. Now playing At Benfica so probably expensive.

Would be a gamble but a quality player and the sort we need.

Showpony - no thanks. Gives you one good game in 10, if you're lucky. And I suspect he's not a Lambert-type player.

One year at Qpr he was fantastic attitude problems and fitness issues ever since I'm not sure on him but if Lambert could get him playing anywhere near his talent it's would be a good signing.

He's barely played for benfica so might be doable

If we're gonna take a punt on a lunatic (which I don't much fancy) then I'd sooner look at Ravel Morrison. Although I'm not sure what his contractual status is. At least with him I know he can play.

Mark Hughes has said Crouch is going nowhere in January, not that we had a chance of signing him anyway.

I'd like to bin Brown, Williamson, Lowe, Koita, Petshi and Delfouneso. Finding anyone to buy them may be hard though.

Browm-bin

williamson-bin(although ive nothing against him, he's a reliable-ish back up squad player but personally id prefer to give opportunities to youngsters.

Lowe- deserves an opportunity under lambert, but i still think ultimately he's a bin-er

koita- i dont mind him as a squad player, he's still learning the english game and deserves to see out the season at least

petshi- never seen him play at any level, so ill leave that decision to the manager and coaches

Delf-similar to koita, he's not doing any arm, worth keeping hold of until the summer(unless we do sign a couple of forwards now and he becomes completely surplus to requirements)

Taarbet could be for Lambert what Diuf was to Allardyce, under the right management and playing in the right position hes always a danger and he's a proven at this level, similar to rochina but with better end product.

Yeah. But he's still a lunatic.

Everyone is looking at who we get in.

If I were you I would worry about who we may lose. We only have 2 players worth any dosh: Rhodes and Hanley.....both are being watched.

all the best sides have one loony in them, the game needs more characters(or loonies as you call them) our team could definetly do with a player with some actual personality.
