More dross ?

He looks like an exciting prospect to me(ya miserable git) I am worried that we have signed to many players in a very short space of time though, getting them to gel quickly is going to be a big task in itself(especially when all our focus should be on NOT GETTING RELEGATED)

Matt Grimes is highly rated midfielder from Swansea.

From twitter

Grimes like the ball at his feet, passes it well, skillful and has a good shot on him.

Jal, Why DON'T you judge a player after seeing him before you come out with Comments like that!!!!!!!!!!!!

Because it's been player after player after player with very very few ticking the boxes that's ......why and now we see the team hovering just above relegation.

Grimes would seem to be a positive addition but only likely to be window dressing unless someone from within the squad can step up and stick the ball in the back of the net.

Horrible to think that we are now looking for a goalscorer.

Stop it!

Early days. I'm sure that the midfield will chip in with half a dozen each, and Graham's hamstring won't flare up very often helping him to hit a few, and Brown will get one and go on a run, and Watt will show everyone that he wasn't a one hit wonder from a few years ago, and fear not, Duffy will get the corners filed off his fifty pence head.

Better?

That what Graham, Watt and Jackson are here for apparently...

I've said it before, but I don't see where the optimism has come from regarding any of these three. Graham has been a busted flush for a couple of years at least, Watt has never been a remotely prolific goalscorer and Jackson was released by League One Barnsley having failed to score in nine appearances. None of these are the answer to our goalscoring problem, though I do think Watt at least adds something useful to the team.

If we needed to sell Rhodes then fine, but we should have had someone with at least some track record lined up, even if only on loan. Bringing in Gomez is fine, but he can't create AND score all of our chances. He needs somebody decent up there to make use of his talents and I'm concerned that we no longer have that.

It's been up for over 24 hours without repercussion.

Apparently it's fine to equate other members to paedophiles.

It really was a disgusting post and I'm surprised the accused didn't react worse. I have no idea how Abbey read his post and interpreted it the way he did.

I know he's confrontational and his posts a bit different in style, but that's one of the few posts I've read here and been genuinely appalled. I've seen some opinions I don't agree with but that was just offensive and a horrible thing to say.

It's not a debate I want to enter but he seems to be suggesting people who oppose the death penalty (he said to hang him high) are paedophile molly coddlers - that would equate to 50% of the UK! Madness. Either way, it was an unwarranted and frankly odd comment. For all his claims of victimisation on here, that post was a stinker and he's lucky not to have been banned yet.

These next two home league games will prove to be the acid test IMO. Failure to bag 4 points (absolute minimum) in addition to demonstrating a genuine goal threat could well prove to be the clubs, and his, downfall following the decision to sell Rhodes.

Yep we are just taking up other peoples cast off really when you look at most of the signings over the last few seasons. When was the last time we actually signed a player for money taking him out of someone elses starting 11 ?

We will not prosper in the long run unless we start signing some proper players for cash. I just don't think that will happen at all even in summer. If we sign Watt it may be the only actual cash signing and they are only taking a punt on him in the hope he becomes worth something to sell on. Also sooner or later someone will come in for Hanley, what's the betting on another big negative spend next transfer window after some more big sales.

Evens for me.

Since Venkys took over, year by year, the value and skill-levels in the squad have been diluted. FACT.

Sooner or later we were going down under this regime, Rhodes or no Rhodes.

And Rhodes was not going to hang around and watch it all happen. Although, when I think about it, that is what he did for most of this season.

Lets hope we stay up and Venkys sell.
