ha ok Brown over Rhodes ..booom

did I ever say?

Managers want a striker/s with 2 or 3 attributes I mention before to you.

can't think of too many managers who just a goalscorer in their team.

From Twitter:

Former Barcelona midfielder Moha El Ouariachi to join Blackburn rovers on loan from stoke until the end of May.

Pacey left winger apparently. Happy with that if true.

Surely better than anyone we have been playing LW recently

well we need pace to this team for surely. its lacking so much

Hughes can spot a player so hopefully he can do us a favour by loaning us this player

Samaras the ex Celtic player? Nope, don't touch him with a barge pole. Bad egg and soft as sh*t on the park. He would be of little use in the Championship.

Quite an interesting article on Samaras from a Celtic fan's POV:

There are a few reasons why Samaras was the main victim of the “och FFS” brigade. The first and main one is undeniable, that Samaras can be an infuriating player to watch. Under Mowbray he often appeared out of sync with his teammates, languid, went to ground too easily and constantly had a look of vague bewilderment on his face when things didn’t go his way, which was a significant proportion of the time. Such criticism of Samaras was at least grounded in reality, this frustrating side of his game evident in the early part of his Celtic career but particularly throughout the abject Mowbray reign, which also saw his hardly prolific scoring prowess grind to a virtual halt. This forced many Celtic supporters to question “the point of Samaras”. More ominously though, there emerged another more unfortunate and crass form of comment regarding Celtic’s number 9 during this time. Simply, that he was lazy, soft and had no heart. Possessing all the qualities that will earn a football player in Scotland the label “big Jessie” was his biggest crime, and this idea of Samaras being quite pathetic was widely held. His hairstyle, his demeanour and the fact that he made a habit of showing concern for opponents who were hurt all were used as sticks which with to beat him. At home games, I began to notice an almost pre-emptive feeling of people wanting him to slip up so they could jeer him. I would watch Aiden McGeady fail to beat his man in an almost parallel of something Samaras had done previously. Where Aiden would receive applause and encouragement for his efforts, Samaras endured exasperation and mockery. There were dozens of occasions where I wanted him to turn it on, skin his man and burst the net, just to get it round these so-called supporters. During season 2009/2010, it just didn’t happen, for Samaras, for us, for Celtic.

90% of our problems stem from midfield,

PL will be concentrating on that in the transfer widow

It's really difficult to highlight exactly which areas need improving most, as we seem to be lacking all over the park.

  • Right back is a priority - Henley has potential but opposing teams seem to be targeting him at the moment, and Marshall isn't really an apt replacement.
  • We definitely need a winger, given Conway is our only consistent performer in this department. Marshall has been anonymous for a long time, and Taylor is a great pro but unlikely to pull up too many trees.
  • Centre midfield is really poor. Akpan has gone backwards and looks awful at the moment, there are question marks over Guthrie's fitness and ability, same for Evans. Williamson is a League 2 player as well.
  • A striker would also be ideal, however I don't buy our current 'blame Rhodes' mentality. I can't think of many strikers who could do much with our 'service' at the moment, which seems to consist of aimless punts forward with a complete lack of guile or precision. Someone to partner Rhodes would be wonderful, but Lambert may decide he needs to replace him with a more physical striker, perhaps accompanied by a bit of pace besides him. That's up to him, as I don't know what Rhodes' thoughts are on a potential move away. He can't be enjoying life at Ewood much though. Koita and Delfouneso are miles away from the required standard, and Lambert doesn't seem to fancy Lawrence particularly.

Only two years Ago Danny Graham was a £5m player.

Since then he's turned 30 and had 4 clubs. 18 games at Hull and one goal. Yes, we need a target man but you may as well play Brown or Koita of you want a target man who doesn't score.

Anyone think Lambert would of played king or rochina? I'm pretty sure he would of been happy to have one of them in the team, pretty sure they wouldn't of been left out of the main team like the previous coach.

. King maybe , not sure about Rochina I don't think he would of bought into Lamberts high energy pressing game Kemar Roofe scored again yesterday that's 8 goals this season from an attacking midfielder I don't think the lad is premier league standard just yet but I think if a championship club took him they could have a gem on their hands .. Shame we're not buying 😔

Stop patronising .

You went from worshipping bowyer to wanting a new team

In space of a defeat .

Not really Abbey but whatever.

I would suggesting you look at the strikers who played for a top 6 club in the Championship and look at the attributes they have.

Didn't he score a good handful at Boro'?
