Really need someone in the middle of the park who can put their foot on the ball and pick a pass.Don't want us going anywhere near Kevin Nolan, decent player but his career is coming to an end I'd rather see a younger hungry player who is striving to play in the premier league rather than someone looking for a final pay day

I agree but Nolan left west ham a while ago he won't be match fit and would take him a while to get up to speed....with our finances limited Nolan isn't for me

I know what you are saying but that lad has scored a hell of a lot of goals (in Big Sam style football) and has promotions behind him. I'd rather be paying someone like him 10k a week to play and advise than a host of our current crop.

what type of winger is he?

we have mention Gnabry him a lot recently.

surely we should have an interest in him

Absolutely rapid Chaddy. Very direct also...Iv seen him twice live and been really impressed. I'd definitely load him into any deal for Rhodes if they decided to sell.

I know a couple of lads at Wigan as well and they're mad on him!!

Daily Mail saying we have made an enquiry for Cardiff winger Anthony Pilkington and Wigan striker Grant Holt

Sheffield wednesday just had a bid rejected for Alan Judge

I heard Burnley were interested in Judge also.

I went to that Unicef match a month or so ago and Dwight Yorke was twice the player we currently have. I'm not suggesting getting him out of retirement but his skill and composure was still there - if I'm honest I'm waiting a for a pizza to cook.

That means he must be twice the player he was when he actually played for us.

Rhodes to join Boro been backed in from 5/1 to as small as 5/4. Think the reality is if they were to make another bid similar to the one reported in the summer he'll be off. Pilkington from Cardiff would be a class signing, hope we don't go for Grant Holt or Danny Graham though.

The sad situation is, until the owners are allowed to spend their money without us going back into an embargo, it's the only way we can make the changes to the squad that we desperately need. Idiotic rules that keep smaller clubs (revenue generating) small and big clubs big - whilst giving them the best shot at the best players and ultimately the best chance of promotion to the big league. If these rules were in place when Jack bought us, he'd have his hands tied too.

Why would Rhodes not go to Boro?

Bigger club, destined for the Premier League, better players and plenty of supply for him to score, decent owner, sign-on fee etc etc etc.

If the money is right Venky's will sell. If not the right money in Venky's eyes I would not blame JR for forcing the issue.

No brainer.
