Bennett, Graham and Pilkington is not too bad. However, we then need to find a buyer for Brown, Delfy and Koita or something.

I wish people could stop saying this.

No one is going to buy our crap, and two of those mentioned are out of contract in the summer anyway.

You should be flattered Abbey has a thing for you. He mates for life.

As for ze signings, Graham could be a solid buy. He's scored goals at this level and would be a good foil for Rhodes.

Haven't seen much of Bennett, but he would bring some much-needed pace to the side.

Don't worry I'm taken with TJ

Am i the only one who thinks that bringin 2 new wingers in Bennet and Pilkington is pointless when what we need is 2 midfielders ,RB and a striker

Instead ofsigning new wingers we should have tried to bring Marshall's form from the begining of the last season

Bennett has been playing right wing-back for Bristol City, so don't rule him out at RB.

And how do you do that? Marshall has been terrible for most of his rovers career bar a few brief spells.

One of the least effective wingers overall I recall seeing for rovers

Rovers just announced Lawrence is staying for another month. I thought id read it was agreed he was staying for the season unless I incorrectly presumed?

maybe Leicester want to see who they sign this transfer window before extending it till end of the season.

Plus making sure he is playing regular football here aswell

Not at all worried if Bennett and Graham are Lambert's first signings.

Saw a list of Lambert's first signings at Norwich when he first joined us as manager and they weren't names that would have had the Norwich fans jumping for joy. Those signings did deliver two consecutive promotions though.

Noticed that a poster yesterday said I hadn't mentioned Rhodes this window. Well I did on Sunday and will stick by this:

The Rhodes' conundrum !

At the moment, IMV, he looks very much less than average. I don't think Lambert sees him as a player to build his team around - forget the rhetoric, think that's all about maximising Rhodes' value. Can't see M'boro doing any deal approaching £14m - maybe they see him as a £!0m insurance policy to underwrite auto promo. If they don't sign Rhodes now and they do go up, I'll be staggered if they come back for him as a PL club.

No doubt some posters will think £10m is far too low and V's wouldn't accept that offer. Well if they don't, and Rovers and Rhodes don't improve, IMV, they will see nothing like £10m in summer if they want rid of Rhodes then. Don't forget, this is the last season of parachute payments and that's £8m or so off next season's income at a stroke.

I think Rhodes will go this window for about £10m plus some extras if we are lucky. I expect half of that to be handed to Lambert with the other half helping to offset lost parachute payments.

I think you are spot on about Lambert's signings at Norwich.

when Norwich got promoted to the Premier League, he went and signed Bennett, Pilkington and Steve Morrison and they finished mid table.

I fully expecting that Boro will be back in for Rhodes shortly. probably after we sign Graham. I wonder if Boro will offer 8 or 9 million plus a player or 2. would Lambert accept it? and more important would the owners?

if Rhodes does leave, Then I would look at signing Bradshaw from Walsall. has pace and scored goals at League 1 level and I feel that he can at this level. only 21 years old aswell. Plus Lambert has looked at the lower leagues to sign players for his teams.

here is a video of him scoring goals during this season

Bennett, Graham and Pilkington is not too bad. However, we then need to find a buyer for Brown, Delfy and Koita or something.

Bennett is a decent signing and he can play either right wing or right back.

Graham is a target man which we don't have.

I think(hoping) Brown will be gone and possibly Delfouneso. I think Lambert will look to develop Koita and give him to end of the season to prove himself

if we can get rid of marshal and recoup what we paid for him id be happy and if we can bring in graham and pilkington that would be excellant, 3 experianced senior players(but on the right side of 30) that know this league well and know how Lambert likes his teams to play, i think theyd defintely give the squad moral a boost and get some of the players that have become a bit to lax on their toes.

He was playing really well pre injury, and also for the first half of last season he was one of the best players in the league.

Since I agree hes been awful, but still preferable to Chris Taylor.

I know it's already been mentioned but Andy Cryer is hardly singing the praises of Bennett. Describes him as lacking pace, average, solid and hardworking. Compares him to Taylor.

I know some on here say Cryer is bitter towards rovers, something he has just refuted on twitter, but does seem to be a bit of an underwhelming signing.

Anyway as has been said perhaps Lambert sees him as a right back.

Earlier today he was gripping about how they weren't getting him back and they'd had months to sort it out.

Bitter or not he comes across as such on many occasions.

As far as Bennett goes I hope he does his best in whatever role PL has in mind for him. Let's hope he's the first of 3 or 4 new faces this window.

I wouldn't pay too much attention to him, seems to have thrown his toys out of the pram a little. I'll trust Lambert's judgement over Andy Cryer.

lets not get too carried away .. 1- its sky sports 2 - he's hardly played for his parent club in the last 2 years 3 - he's out of contract in the summer , if there is a fee its probably nominal think Gestede and Conway fee's

A fee's a fee given what we've been through and if Bennett works out as well as those two I'm sure we'll all be delighted!

Would be good if he was solid at right back, overlapping Marsh. I think Marshy's form could be down to not having a proper full back behind him. Otherwise, it could mean Marsh might move inside into number 10 role and Bennett out wide.

So much untapped talent, brilliant on his day he just seldom has those days. My gut feel is he is a GB.sympathizer also. Move him on reinvest the case improve squad morale.

I remember when he signed, Leicester fans were saying the same thing.

Not a GB sympathizer, just a very inconsistent player.
