Derby are sticking the big V's up to FFP that's for sure. Must be banking on going up.

I would love to know how they got around FFP sanctions this year, with the amount of money they and Boro spent over the last 12 months and have still managed to avoid sanctions.

It shows what can be done when you have clued up Executives Sam Rush (Derby) and Peter Kenyon (Boro) running your club.

They tried that last season and fecked it up right at the end, so for their sake I'll be interested to see how they avoid it IF they don't go up (same goes for 'Boro).

Reports in multiple newspapers this morning that Birmingham are looking to sign Bolton's Zac Clough for £750,000.

He is one of the most promising young players in the championship and at that price we should go in for him, if handled properly and if he can get over his injury issues he the potential to be developed into a fantastic player.

This is one lad I think we should be all over! In laws are Bolton fans and they rave about him.

Only bright thing in their season!

Plenty of options out there in the transfer market I would like to see Rovers make a few audacious moves. With John O'Sullivan back I think we can further cut other players we don't need.

Sell: Brown, Kilgallon, Taylor, Williamson, Delfouneso, Even either Guthrie or Akpan, Petschi, and Eastwood, for any sum available and able to get off them.

Hell I would sell Rhodes if it meant we could sign Agbonlahor and Graham as a strike force which I think would be a potent line up.

Interested:

Graham, Agbonlahor, Anthony Pilkington, and a creative midfielder.

Presumably they're paying on the drip, so the figures wont be as big on an annual basis. That's all I can think of anyway.

sorry i'm going to against the grane here , although he looked technically confortable with good movement , he also looked a little lightweight to me , and i just cannot see him fitting in with Lamberts style of play , good player yes , bargain at £750k yes , but i think Lawrence is better

Is Lawrence available to buy though and even if he was, he would be unikely to go for less than a million. Pretty certain that Clough has also scored more.

So you would sell Kilgallon for any available fee & wont replace him at all, leaving us with only 2 Centre-Backs?

Thank the lord you don't manage us!

Haha I am not worried about the CB for the only reason that Spurr, Akpan, and Lennihan can all play there and have shown that they are more than capable of playing in that position.

Hate to be a stuck record but no one is going to buy our crap. We'll have to pay THEM, if anything.

And once again, all those names listed are out of contract in the summer.

I can hear the tearing up of contracts and hearty hand shakes from here.

Should 100% be in for Clough. We need some creativity in the middle, forget his lack of physical presence the lad has genuine talent.

Paul Wheelock has mentioned on twitter that Rovers are looking at a playmaker but there's nothing concrete... Clough?

Bloke I know who vaguely has something to do with Bolton (can't remember quite what, could be bit of scouting) reckons we've bid for Clough, more than 750k. How true I don't know.

Please lord let this be true. Clough is class!

Well all I can say is that whilst I don't know the bloke very well he has always worked in football. I can't remember the last club he was employed with but he was scouting for them. I recall being surprised by the top of the range merc e class they gave him and the places he was visiting, I was surprised because it was a rubbish club but honestly can't remember which one, I keep thinking Colchester but I don't think it was, it was of that calibre. I think he went freelance after that and I'm sure he did something with Bolton. He might just be passing on a rumour but he did say the offer is full cash deal which is obviously attractive to Bolton.

I sure I read somewhere that zac clough despised us..I think it was a Bolton forum. .would be a good signing but don't see it happening myself

He's a professional footballer - so whichever team he purports to support (or despise) should be irrelevant, not that I would take any notice of a piggies forum anyway.

Only seen snippets of the lad on TV but he looks like he has something about him so here's hoping.
