I'm with you on this Jal. None of these fill me with optimism. Maybe as an extra one on loan as well as Grabban?

Like that. Fits the bill and completely different to what we have.

You mean he's a footballer ?

Moussa Dembele at Fulham worth a try?

His is only 19, and out of contract in the summer. Time for embargo Fulham to cash something in?

He'll go to a Premier League club.

There is no way we should even consider Graham at £35k wages a week.

My fear is that Lambert may well decide to get him on those inflated wages and sell Rhodes, given that we have only just come out of embargo there is little chance that we could have both Graham or Rhodes on huge wages.

Yeah, walk away at that price.

I'd be shocked if the interest in Graham carries on with those wages. I'd expect at best it would be a loan for the rest of the season with Sunderland paying much of his wages, otherwise I can't see it happening at all now.

Play the waiting game. Graham isn't in Sam's plans, as soon as theres a couple of days left in the window us paying 15k of Graham's wage and letting Sam get in who he wants will look very appealing.

Sunderland might back down. Nobody in the Championship will have him at £35,000 a week. Either they will have to pay a share of his wage or pay him the full amount to occupy a squad place for the rest of the season.

Sam loves us and the venkys. He is certain to give us a good discount on the wages and back down. Oh wait.........

True. BUT, he would probably rather get some of Graham's wages off the books and get free up a space in the 25 man squad......

Possibly. I just get the sense he is still pretty mad about how things worked out at rovers

As much as I think he is always bitter about the way he is discarded by clubs, I think the pay-off will have been a bit of a sweetener at least.....

There's a cheeky rumour on Twitter that Vardy, Lukaku and Kane are on Lambert's plan b list. Would any of those be ok for you or would it depend on who their agents are?

They may not be realistic but are the ones mentioned going to be capable of giving the team that competitive edge whilst getting the fans excited at the prospect of joining the club.

Whilst I often agree that the standard of players we are looking at is of concern, especially the last five years, I think you could be a tad more positive regarding Lambert's abilities to source well for us here.

Many suggest names on here but you simply criticise the ones mentioned. Often it's just speculation anyway.

Who would you like us to be considering Jal?

Realistically I do not mind selling Rhodes for 10-14m as long as we get to re-invest 5 to 6m of it. In which case I would like us to make moves to Zac Clough, Pilkington, Graham, a creative midfielder, and a pacey striker.

If we had that amount of money to spend, I'll be honest, we shouldn't be looking at Graham.....

Graham will lead to same issues we had with Rudy and JR up top. No pace or threat to run in behind. So teams play a high line forcing us deep and making it a struggle.

We dont need a target man, we need pace. We have to push teams back and get JR playing in the final 3rd, because he's a chocolate fireguard outside that final 3rd
