Pleading not guilty isn't the lie I referred to, he explicitly claimed his drink was spiked by fans. That's why he got stick.

Are you posting from B & Q?

Graham deal stalling, PL looking at Another striker, could be moving fast.

Good. Not convinced by Graham at all, for the wages he'd be on I think we could do better. He's too similar to what we already have - a trier with limited ability. I appreciate he scored goals when he played with Watford but that was five years ago. A lot has changed and other than that purple patch with Watford Graham has a pretty poor goalscoring record.

This season is all about survival for me. I mean that in the sense of the league and as well as the owners having patience with Lambert. At the end of the day when Bowyer was sacked everyone wanted Lambert or the majority to say the least. Let's be completely honest about the situation, the embargo crippled us to the point where we were forced to sell our major assets and replace them with loans and free transfer. Of course by doing that you will only survive so long. We haven't replaced Cairney or Gestede that is the truth of the matter because we now lack fire power and creativity.

I would be reluctant to buy This window, and rather just find great loan deals and maybe a few cheap transfer deal that represent good value for money, to consolidate our status in this division.

Come the summer sell the players who don't want to be here, the one who refuse to adopt the Lambert philosophy and build again a team that is worthy to challenge for the play off or the top of the table.

For me we need to keep a core squad of players (not starting 11)

Henley, Duffy, Hanley, Rhodes, Conway, Spurr, Lenihan, Lowe, Evans, Raya and Marshall. The rest I am not too fussed if they go for any type of sum. I would love to see Dunn back in a coaching role to kick the hell out of the current players who aren't performing.

Come the summer pick out the free transfer like Gibson, Mcgeady, Graham and spend the other cash on players who will improve the squad. Be clever in the market we don't need to do like Derby or Boro to go up

Lambert needs a striker with Championship experience.

I wouldnt want to be paying more than 10/15k a week for Graham wages. Guess Sunderland want all of Graham's wages paying

Not sure Petersen is the type of big man striker Lambert is looking for.

He looks more like good replacement for Rhodes if he ever left.

I agree. I think it is quite possible to distinguish ingrained denial-victim centricirty, externalisation, minimisation and outright mendacity etc- from the right to due process!

It's one thing for the court to find in favour of the prosecution; it's another thing entirely to say conclusively that he lied. I don't personally know whether his drink was spiked (it may well have been) and neither do you.I know what I think but my point is that drink drivers nearly always try it on. Why would he be any different?

Why should he be?

Admitted to having 2 and a half glasses of wine and a bottle of Bud.

Got stopped doing 90 on the motorway.

Then claimed the fans spiked his Bud.

The first line is stupidity, reckless and dangerous. The second is even more dumb.

The third is a sheer lie. WTF could 'spike' a bottle of bud which wouldn't be noticeable to a proven hardcore drinker like Kean. Lowlife.

He tried to blame the fans. Of course he's going to be vilified for it. There isn't much more to say, is there?

Lambert needs a striker or two that's better than the championship.

Didn't seem the same player when he was last at QPR

Just saw that Tony Watt has returned to Charlton from his loan spell at Cardiff. Due to Cardiff getting themselves into an embargo it looks like he won't be signing with them permanently. Could be a decent acquisition for Rovers IMO...no actual link to him but just a thought.

Good shout!
